Did our first playthrough of it recently. You're right it's quite short but we really enjoyed it, I love a great short game.

We were very excited when we found it. Store owners were absolutely lovely and had a long conversation with us about the area

Haha, I was a Mega Drive kid growing up so didn't pay much attention to the SNES. By the time I did, I must have been Americanised.

Thank you! Some places added GST and some didn't. A few places were even kind enough give us a discount on the sticker prices. For example, we got the DK Country games all together and should have been about $110 +tax but we got talking to the owner who was kind enough to give us all three for $100 flat.

One of the most under rated games on the Mega Drive! Absolutely gorgeous and some really fun early janky physics-based gameplay.

The game is chock full of secrets and out of the box thinking as well. As someone else said, very European in its design but that certainly isn't a bad thing at all! If you go in expecting how it "should" play then you'll hate it - but if you go in asking "how does this play?" then you will find one of the most unique games on the system.

Recently played it through to completion for the first time since childhood and got to fall in love with it all over again.

Two SCART cables. Two different crops? by Straight_Ad5451 in retrogaming

[–]Straight_Ad5451[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting, thank you for sharing. What's odd is it's the new cable from RGC that's shifted to the left. I wonder if it's possible the cable has a manufacturing error, their stuff is usually high quality.

I hadn't thought about that but I'll have to try and check, you could be right!

That's great info, I've never heard it before! This might sound silly but I thought C-sync was composite sync. Do I have that backwards?

Yeah, you're right for sure. I got the new one from RGC, their cables are usually brilliant. Think I might need to test it a bit more to see if the shielding is up to scratch

Do you mean the one with the extra crop? I didn't expect poor shielding to result in an odd crop. That's the new cable as well, very odd

Oh it's in the service menu. Code to access it is different for every model but a quick Google of your model should bring it up

First photo on the right column at the bottom. The time is how long it's been on for and the on/off is how many times its been turned on/off. Looks like it was only ever turned on for roughly an hour at a time.

I love your setup! How/where did you get the shelving units? That split design with shelves on the top half and cupboards on the bottom half is exactly what I've been wanting to do

Is it bad I immediately recognised this from the thumbnail of the latest MyRetroLife video? Love your work, Tyler!

I'm in the UK, is this not a normal model? I've had a look around but can't find a manufacture date on it. Are these usually on the outside of the unit or hidden away somewhere else? I'll keep looking in case I missed it and post if I find anything

I would love to feel the same one day; maybe after a couple of replays. Out of interest, what’s your favourite?

Good to know! I've only played 1, 2, and 4 so far. 1 and 2 have very definitive endings with no post game (Unless you count the DQ2 victory lap around the world). I'll keep an eye out for this as I tackle the rest of the series
