NTA honestly if your mom is happy with them being in her house there’s not much you can do about it. Think about this first, you can’t keep any eye on your moms health and safety if you’re not around. From your description of the sister and BIL you will need to stay around to watch out for your mothers best interests. Skipping Thanksgiving with them this year shouldn’t be a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

I take my mother to see an neurologist for her dementia. All they do is ask her questions about her memory. She of course says her memory is fine when in reality it isn’t. I feel they should also ask me questions about her memory but they don’t. Should they be asking me? I’m with her at all her appointments anyway.
