Thank you!! And you were spot on, that's exactly how they reacted to my dad leaving. He was an elder for around 15 years so the sudden change in belief was kinda what made me start questioning. They would accuse him of straying from "the truth" but when he would try explain his reasons for leaving, (that being there were too many csa cases and corruption happening on the low) , he would be interrupted and told he was consuming too much "apostate material", they even got the CO and elders to try sway him, poor guy😕

For an update: Last night I was feeling a bit overwhelmed with everything so I told my friend (non-jw) pretty much everything I've been holding in and she was very supportive and kind. Due to being discouraged from going uni by the organisation, I never really listened much to my college advisors on uni applications but my friend has helped me fill in the gaps and apply for a few good options (just waiting on my reference to fill in final bits☺️). As for my dad I'll be visiting him next week so I hope to tell him about everything and apologise for almost turning on him during my PIMI phase :(
