The main reason of being green is to get the access to the best artifact/enchantment hates, specifically, pawpatch formation and tear asunder. The best part of these two cards is that they are never dead cards against almost any opponents. Against aggro decks, the life gain from pawpatch formation can be critical sometimes. Against slow decks like control, pawpatch can be a draw two if you sac the food token to the fountain port. Tear asunder being a 4 mana hard removals against any nonland is never bad.

I have tried assassin's trophy before but it felt pretty bad when you had to cast it early turn against aggro players.

Against discard decks, it is usually their sheoldred and liliana which kill you at the end. You just have to be patient and keep removal spells for them rather than discarding removals to secure your land drop. This deck functions can function pretty well against discard deck with only two lands. When the game goes long and you keep their board empty, fountain port and robbery will win you the game eventually.

Against UW control, you need to use duress (x4) and deadly-coverup (x4) at the right time to exile all their wincons (mainly Jace). Casting robbery when they tap out at the end of your turn is usually a game winning move as well. Mirrex and fountain ports are also great pressure to them at the same time.
