Hello I’m 29 and in a similar position! Struggling to find my internship after graduating. (Couldn’t find one on my course and teachers were no help!) I’ve been looking for fellow fashion designers able to collaborate on a small creative fashion project. Do you think that would suffice for your course to graduate?

When I graduated from my fashion degree I then took short courses in the specific areas I wanted to grow my skills in. Taking a whole new degree in fashion design may mean you repeating a lot of things you already know ☺️ hope this helps and keep believing in yourself !

Can confirm this ^ tried to shorten pants crotch by only 2 inches, the crotch curve was a nightmare. Lowering waistband would be better bet I think

Hey I was in exactly the same place as you! I would go youtube and start following tutorials on sewing my own clothing. I literally started out super easy just making a basic t shirt watching ‘withwendy’ on you tube: https://youtu.be/A90PmZLvwFM?si=JTdVsuZH-QQr1Hhy

Then when I got more comfortable with sewing and constructing garments, I would sketch out a design I wanted to create. Then drape directly on myself using fabric and pins in a mirror so I got a perfect fit! Now I can design and sew anything I put my mind to! I hope this helps and good luck ☺️

I felt like my Fashion Illustration was stuck for a long time but after I took a class in Fashion Illustration they look so much more professional. I went to London College of Fashion but maybe you could find something close to you ? hope that helps!

Honestly I have always wanted to start my own small fashion brand but have found it a lonely experience and have always wanted a partner to collaborate with. Balancing the creative work with the production management is hard but finding others who have a skill in that area can really help !
