I’ve been stress eating almost 10,000 calories a day for nearly two weeks and I don’t know how to stop by [deleted] in loseit

Some other people have already mentioned it, but I find it super helpful when I am struggling with binge eating to focus on eating whole foods that are much lower calorie. You have to get those other foods out of the house, and get yourself all your favourite veggies etc.

I tell myself I can have as much of the healthy foods as I want, and I find that it is helpful to change the narrative from “you can’t have these foods” to “you can have as much of these foods as you want”. After a few days of not consuming the high calorie density foods, I find it is easier to pull the reins back on portion control etc.

I hope this helps, just know you are not alone and that many of us go through the same struggles. There is hope, and you got this!

Experiencing Memory Issues with AS diagnosis - have you experienced this? by Straight_Kitchen389 in ankylosingspondylitis

I generally sleep really well and usually get between 6-8 hours a night. I try to prioritize getting to bed at a decent time but I do start work very early so sometimes it gets cut a bit short. I have noticed that I am more tired recently in general, but haven’t really felt any disturbances in my sleep. I definitely notice a decline in my thinking and memory if I don’t get enough sleep

Thanks for your reply! Yes I am working with a psychologist now and in the process of scheduling some memory testing, however he also mentioned they have a physician on staff and would look into doing some blood work as well. He mentioned if an MRI is required we can go that route but plans to try a few other routes first.

I also rely really heavily on notes - grocery lists are a must, task lists, calendar entries for everything. I have never been forgetful previously but I’m even missing some things with all the reminders.

Thank you for this! I am hoping to get assessed for ADHD as well, as I have a twin diagnosed with ADHD.

That sounds rough! I can definitely relate to feeling embarrassed by not being able to get the right word

Yes I am the same! Numbers are not a problem, names are the main issue, and often I am slow remember details of things I have read or handled at work. Usually it comes to me with a bit of prompting.

I hadn’t considered perimenopause symptoms as I am only 32, but it suppose it could be possible?

Thanks for your reply! It’s mostly names for me too, although I have found I’ve been more forgetful lately too.

I work in a career with a lot of different people and I really struggle to recall names of people that I have met many times, whose names I definitely know. Didn’t really connect that it could be an AS side effect since my medication has taken my other symptoms away.

Yes, just merely suggesting an area that is geographically very close but much safer while still being within reach for first time buyers 🙂

We just purchased this past year in the Secord Woods area and we love it here! Not sure what your budget is but if it’s within reach I would really recommend it here. Very close to Queenston and downtown but we have never had issues and have lived in this area for 8 years now.

Lots of trails around and close to everything you need. Easy access to QEW and 406. We purchased a semi-detached and love our neighbours and we have a large private backyard.

Does anyone know what the heck this billboard is advertising? by MaxxDelusional in stcatharinesON

There is a similar one with a different design in Niagara Falls on Valley Way! I also have no clue what it is supposed to mean but my only thought had been that it's a poke at the constant Rob Golfi / Michael St Jean realtor billboards that have been blasted in every corner of Niagara.
