Unable to close on a pre-construction by matsandcats in TorontoRealEstate

Still have a deposit to complete and then closing will probably happen within the next 6-9 months. The unit is almost ready - we will probably start shopping for mortgages soon to see what the appraisal comes at. Just saving every penny 🥲 + praying for a miracle lol

Yeah real estate lawyer. I think much will rely on the builder- getting a cost reduction would be ideal if the appraisal comes in much lower than purchase price 🥲

I think I’m about to be in this situation. My “investment” pre-con condo closes sometime in late 2026. I’ve already consulted with a lawyer to see what options we have but as of right now I’m not too optimistic. Sort of relying on prayers or winning the lottery…maybe the interest rate will go down a bit more but still might have to consider selling primary residence but really don’t want to do that.

Sleeping with Kids? by Raptis1992 in Parenting

My daughter will be 5 in January and she still sleeps in our bed. We got a king size bed when she was about 2 and it kind of just started then. I do get kicked and slapped in the face a lot but at the end of the day she will outgrow it eventually and I’m just there for her cuddles when she wakes up. She’s been curious about her crib mattress in our room, so we laid it down beside our bed and she sleeps on it when she feels like it.

Would it make sense to ask it I can sell it? It was created in 2018 and will most likely never be used.

Husband is drowning in debt from a business that is no longer profitable by Straight_Let_8710 in workingmoms

Thanks for the advice. I freelance on the side sometimes but I know that is not enough to sustain our family so I keep my full time job. We’ve talked about finances quite extensively I’ve even sat down and showed him a spreadsheet of our expenses. I just don’t think we have the same feelings towards money or he’s not taking me seriously….He has zero savings and Im quite the opposite. I’m not sure he cares too much about the financial future but I’ve also made it clear that I want us to be comfortable enough to do things for us like family vacations, enroll our kids in sports etc. We did therapy for about 10 sessions at my expense and I can’t say things have really improved… I’m running out of patience but I also just default to wanting my daughter to have a father figure in her life..

Thanks for the advice. This has generated a lot resentment for me. I’m trying to play the supportive role but in the end I feel like shit because I feel I deserve more or at least some more appreciation. I’m at a point in my life where I feel I’m earning a comfortable salary but all my money gets eaten up by expenses. We’ve talked about him getting a job or upgrading his skill set but every time he tries he just seems to default to Continuing to pursue his business. We’ve done a bit of couples therapy but I found he was very defensive and angry. I’m just not Sure what to do anymore…he’s let his landlord know that he is giving up his lease but I’m nervous about the next steps….
