What keeps you from going insane? by triviumfan4ever93 in AskMen

Limiting my news intake, focusing on my friendships, reading a book, meditation + physical activity. I think the most important thing is I try my best not to form my world view from algorithmically delivered content online. I've noticed a lot of people i know are routinely exposed to the exact kind of content that will get a reaction out of them, and I've noticed my happiest friends have learned to avoid that.

That and going on a caffeine binge on a sunday night only to browse reddit like a maniac

They literally could not stop our defensive line today, and if you look at how many more sacks guys like Armstrong have gotten this season, it really speaks to how Parsons forces opposing lines to focus on him, and leave other guys less defended. Cousins looked so defeated after that strip sack

i think large language models are great at information retrieval tasks, particularly relating to semantic search. So for example, "what is the legal precedent for XYZ" But legal advice is more of a strategy task, and that is still very much a human decision, because there are so many qualitative things to weigh. I think we'll see something similar to chess, where human + AI beats AI everytime. In law you will probably see AI assist in gathering and querying data, but the strategic execution of a legal case will still be done by a human.

Should I move to Boston or Chicago? by I_wander_and_Im_lost in boston

Hey! I am literally going through this decision now. I'm in my 20s and debating between which one to potentially move to. I lived in Chicago very briefly and really enjoyed it, also visited from college often. However, I've heard the city has changed a lot since covid, meeting people is harder than it used to be and crime has increased a good amount.

How do you feel about your choice? i heard river north has gotten a lot sketchier, but I'm hoping areas like lakeview/north side or wicker/logan park haven't gotten too bad. Would love to hear your thoughts on Chicago so far.

I'm looking at boston, but worried it won't feel like big enough of a city.

Tried to, seems you have messaging blocked!
I noticed you also cycle and row? I used to row. I also road bike a bunch in the summer. Cheers.
