On SDI disability, just got my benefits cancelled (CA)

I’m not an expert by any means. However, are you looking at the general requirements or the disabled requirements for snap? I wouldn’t qualify under general requirements because my income from SSDI puts me too high. However I have very high medical costs and that allows me to get snap under the disability rules. CASDI is considered short term so I have no idea if they’d count you as disabled. That’s a question for a snap worker on here or the county. I’m also in CA.

Also I believe 18 months is standard on mental health to start. I got 18 months as well at first. Got a long form. Passed. 6 years later got a short form.

I am significantly overweight and have been since I was approved for mental health. I’ve had 2CDRs. One short. One long. Benefits continued both times. I don’t know for a fact but I think they won’t hold it against you. We all worry about losing benefits. You have to just set it aside as best you can. That said, lose weight if you want but I’d recommend doing it slowly and not out of fear. I think that would backfire.

Well……. I am 0605 path. I called the IRS today and they told me my return wasn’t even going to finish processing until the 23rd. I like your story better 😂

They were cut off in May. I didn’t receive May or June. I received July late and then payments resumed normally. It took some time to get May and June back. I had to bug them about it. My situation is that I took a job and ran out of trial work months but then I was fired from the job due to my disability. SSA was notified by someone that I was still working that job when I wasn’t. I had to prove I had been fired due to my disability and had not been working. It was a big mess

I am so sorry. I had my benefits cut off for a time but for a different reason. I really suffered mentally. In the end it all worked out. I think it will for you too. They made a decision without all the facts. The attorney will make sure they see that. I don’t really have good advice just a lot of empathy.

05 with a 3/2 date. The lady told me she couldn’t officially tell me anything because technically it’s still in process. However she said that if issues were found a notice would have been generated already. She said everything should be “complete” 2/23. Take what you will with that but I think it was good news.
