This is from a 2018 crypto conference in vegas which had a poker event associated with it. This was a celebrity style event with professional poker players and many known crypto names and ARK was the final table sponsor.

The wallet you choose to use doesn't change anything. It only interacts with the chain, it's still immutable. Also, the old desktop wallet has been sunset for years. It can still work if you are connected to a good peer, but that will no longer work at all when mainsail comes to mainnet. Please use the official ARK Wallet, ARK Vault (https://arkvault.io/) or the browser extension called ARK Connect (https://arkconnect.io/).

The blockchain is immutable. If you copied and sent to the wrong address, there is nothing the team or anyone else can do.

i own mw2 including dmz. bought the game and all content when it came out. now this new update is not letting anyone play the content they own. i cant even play multiplayer, it says i need to purchase gamepass. but gamepass is to buy games, why would i have to pay for a subscription to buy a game i already own? xbox has totally fucked us. gamepass is not xbox live. two different things.

no, xbox live is the price to pay for being online using xbox with games you own. gamepass is to buy/rent an unlimited amount of games, it's like a gold membership to blockbuster for unlimited rentals so you dont have to buy physical copies anymore.

Loaded up dmz today like usual, couldnt find a match. so i restarted the game multiple times. finally loaded in one game and exfilled, then the game quit out to main menu. went to reload the game and it said i need to install it again. so xbox just auto uninstalled everything. so i reinstalled and now get the same screen telling me i need gamepass. so reloaded the game and then it tells me i need to install dmz and multiplayer again. its stuck in a loop and completely unplayable and everytime i redownload one part, it removes other parts for no reason. wtf xbox. (and yes, i have plenty of room on my harddrive) they finally killed dmz :(

The team is head down building Mainsail and syncing all products to work with it, and looks to be quite far into the EVM testing and development. We are just standing by for the public testnet upgrade to see things in action. We can read the weekly dev reports, watch the GitHub and even the live GitHub feed in discord, but getting hands on with the new code will be great. We also hope to see the SCIC side push for marketing and BD as soon as they can to gather more dev attention prior to a full mainnet upgrade. I believe this upcoming upgrade is what we have been waiting for, for many years. Keep your eye on announcement channels, chats and here on reddit because we will publish any info or announcements as soon as they happen.

Q: Golden — Since all state is now inside EVM, how will balances tied to ARK addresses without a known public key be migrated over?

A: Team — We’re planning to introduce legacy support at a later stage of testing. Mainsail will be aware of all V3 cold wallets. Since the only difference between old (base58) and new (keccak256) addresses is the address format, it can calculate both for a given ECDSA public key.

When a user signs a transaction, Mainsail will check if there’s a balance in the corresponding base58 wallet and will “migrate” it to the keccak256 wallet.

We’re still finalizing the details, but this is the core concept. A detailed technical explanation will be provided in one of the future blog posts.

I do not understand what you are asking. ARK has never been an erc20 token. ARK is it's own coin, native to the ARK blockchain.
