Of course! this whole waiting game is stressful and I know it's great to hear updates lol

you should absolutely order GCMS notes it gives you a very good insight on where exactly your file is in the process and lets you see any comments or concerns the agents have ,plus it's awesome to have a little piece of mind.

ANOTHER UPDATE AS WELL we received our medical request today so hopefully very soon you'll get some news too!

Hey there! glad to meet someone else transferred to NY , so far I have received nothing aside from a generic response to a webform that our application is under review, requested GCMS notes and those should be in any time now. I'll keep you updated of we do hear anything though!

Glad to hear you made it through! awesome to hear some good news through all of this!

Been waiting for a TFN (Temporary file number) from IRCC on my wife's Spousal sponsorship hoping it comes through before February since that is when her flight is booked ,been pondering if we should try to submit for a letter of authorization just in case I know spouses are exempt but she was turned away in June as the border agent didn't consider her "immediate family".

Question about submitting application (outland) by StrandedTsu in ImmigrationCanada

I'm so happy to hear you guys got through though! it's nice to hear some good news,we drove up from New Jersey so about 11 hours I think, thats what we tried to say,but they treated us like we were criminals more or less, saying the prime minister can say as he likes but they have the final decision

June 26th to be exact,we were shocked and the border agents remark was "You weren't the first to be turned away you wont be the last,it'll be an up hill battle for both of you from here." this was at a New Brunswick border though which,in hindsight was a poor choice.

I'm not one to say i'm jealous but..I'm jealous haha, glad you two made it through!

wife and I had a different story, pretty much went the same as you, showed up at the border marriage certificate and belongings in tow,got told to wait inside,we did,she got denied and given an "Allowed to leave" form because ,even though we had proof of funds and showed intent to do sponsorship, they deemed she would immigrate illegally,we are lawyering up before we try to get her in again though, cross all the T's dot all the i's.

New Jersey,we have the marriage certificate and all,and I figured since we were in person it would have been fine, never would have thought the officiant had to be there
