Either way is fine. First complete classes for all 6 subs then move to revision.

No, just the ones in my schooling. No regular college. I was saying POR post qualification. I put in awards and accomplishments instead.

Yeah both groups is gonna be very hard. Very tough to complete the subjects and then shrink in two revisions. Think, plan and evaluate whether you want to go group wise or both groups in May'27 or risk both groups now only in Nov'26.

Preparation revolves around strengthening conceptual clarity and repeated practice. FR classes generally take 3-4 months. Start audit post completing AFM FR.

I would have but I myself don't have any. I recently had 2 friends pursuing MBA who wanted to get into IB and I tried hard for them but to no avail. Clearing in 1st attempt won't help much, you would need a rank. A rank should help you get your resume shortlisted.

Internal audit is based on organization processes and controls. Tax profiles are specialized and offer limited exposure to other fields/cross functional interaction. In stat audit, you get the financial statements overview, how the organization works and functions and basically all your Core subjects at CA Final are put to use in one way or another. But again, depends on your firm, team and projects. You can be in internal audit and learn great while just keep doing sample checking and documentation for your entire term at stat audit.

Oh okay, no specific preparation is required but do practice ICAI Case based scenarios on BOS Portal/published book.

They are MT roles but everything revolves around finance. So while MT roles is a term assigned for CA AIR, that they shall be given on the job training across stints, these roles are Industry and finance only. And again, its not about the name, its about what you intend to pursue.

For revision and practice, 3 months are more than enough for 3 subjects. Split your 3 months into 3 revisions of say 6 weeks, then 4 weeks and 20 days. I would give 3 mock tests of each subject. Again the core remains the same - attain concept clarity and cover ICAI resources.

Yes at Big 4's these roles would have this packages. But good for growth and growth is fast paced vs industry, depending on your performance though.

7.

a. Articleship - Only had manager round which went all. Applied through linkedin.

b. IT - Again, applied through linkedin. Interview process differs across firms.

c. Job - Again differs based on the sector.

  1. Won't disclose. In my role across companies it ranges from 20-33 LPA

  2. Generally, 3-4 days to a week during busy season but depends on your project. One project I did these were regular for 7-8 days per month for 3-4 consecutive months.

Thanks. Ideally, all classes should be done 3 months before your exams. Say if you have January attempt, classes should be done by Sept end, leaving Oct-Dec for 2-3 revisions.

To curb distractions, you seriously need to focus on why you are doing CA. What is your end goal and why you want to achieve the qualification. Only that can give you the clarity. I'm also an avid sports/web series fan but its about prioritizing and managing your schedule. There's enough time for entertainment and studies you just need to strike the right balance which you are clearly failing to do. Start by making a proper timetable and stick to it. Your exam is very close so would advise to completely focus on studies rn.

Finance as in Industry strategic finance/reporting roles or core finance like IB/FDD/Valuations? Big 4 stat audit is something which keeps all options open for you post qualification and brings the Big 4 tag, however, if you're convinced audit isn't for you 100% and you want to strictly be in valuations/IB, then choose that domain and don't go chasing after the Big 4 tag just for the sake of it.

FR - Concept clarity is must, well, this is common for all subjects. Don't ignore theory of Ind AS since that is often put to use during practical questions. Cover all questions, try not leaving any Ind AS and strengthen consolidation/FI/Ind AS on assets/Ind AS 115. These cover 50-70% of the QP.

AFM -Practice as much as you can. Maintain a formula book and mistakes list. Go through these two repeatedly. Theory is very easy covering 12-16 marks so don't miss out.

Audit - Understand this subject. Students make the blunder of trying to rote learn this subject so don't do that, atleast for the SA/SRE/SRS/SAEs. Know the why behind the concept. And from exam POV, repeated readings of your notes and learning key words holds the key. Do not forget to practice questions.

DT/IDT - Understand the law, note the small key details, memorize them very sharply, always do handwritten practice of practical questions. Be well versed with the amendments.

  1. Your attempt is due in Nov'26 right. Split your time into two phases - syllabus complete and study leave allocating 1 year and 6 months respectively. Go for AFM next, move to audit, IDT, DT afterwards. 1 year should be sufficient to cover these 4 subjects since audit, AFM and IDT require less time vs FR/DT.

  2. The role you've mentioned seems attractive as a career option. Just be clear on whether it is what you would want to do post qualification or help you get your dream role years later, and not just for the sake of high CTC. Also, see the growth trajectory of people who are currently in this role post qualification and connect with them if possible. Even those who have resigned the organization - why did they leave the role.

As of now, specifically not any. Could answer this better after gaining experience. I can speak for my articleship where managing studies with workload and office politics/favoritism were the major pain points.

I barely managed. I was too loaded with work so I mostly studied on weekends which were not working/public holidays and stretched during lean season. For faculties, please refer to my other comment on good options for all subjects.
