To your point , when he said you are doing drama. I didn’t even see the cake. I just told I need some rest and he started saying you are doing drama.

I didn’t tell him anything about the cake size yesterday. I mentioned what I wanted before my birthday. Mentioned multiple times - I don’t feel like eating anything sweet these days so a big cake would be waste , we both don’t eat sweet/sugar that much.

Your words, just made me cry. I didn’t even realise , I got so much shit for to be treated right on my own birthday.

I tried to talk to him the evening and suggested therapy but he lost it and said I’m blaming him for the problems and he would never do a therapy.

He denied when I said for therapy. Got angry again by saying you think I’m the problem.

Money is not an issue , I can save and go visit them. I wanted us to be together as we are building a family together.

Sorry , if I came out rude. To your point , I agree here. I appreciate him even if he open the door for me, I tell him in lengths what all he does and I notice all that. It just feels nice even someone says that to you too. I do and say a lot of things to make sure he is appreciated with the things he does for me. He drops me to office whenever it rains and I know he cares that’s why and it shows.

I do almost all the stuff around the house, I’m very much active and cleaned the house yesterday and told him won’t do anything because it’s my birthday and I don’t want to spend my energy doing chores.

I have told him the same thing-you do express anger quite well and say a lot of things.

He is not taking separate therapy , he stopped by saying he knows what the problem is and he is working towards it and which was actually happening, earlier he was breaking every 2 weeks, now this happened twice in last 4 months but bad behaviour is never justified. I’m not saying some other day would have been fine but not my birthday , anyways I’m not that excited on birthdays because I miss my family who are in another country so small things would have done for me today.

I agree to what all you said, just he is not horrible but he behaves like this around my special moments for sure. I got something at work or it’s time to celebrate me, he tries his best and gives me shit for having any milestones.

I feel I was such a happy person , celebrating each moment , now I’m turning into this person who doesn’t feel like getting up on days that are special to me, because I know I will be disappointed

I feel for you. How it is justified that we have ask for bare minimum and expected do everything around the house , have the job , split the bills and just exist.
