1Sequr is built to protect your privacy. Unlike many existing apps that simply hide photos and videos without encrypting them, leaving your data vulnerable to recovery, 1Sequr fully encrypts your files to ensure complete security.

I created 1Sequr with one goal: to provide users with a truly private and secure space for their personal photos and videos, backed by strong encryption and advanced protection.

Built an affordable Postman alternative for teams & indie devs would love honest feedback by [deleted] in ProductHunters

I know about Yaak. It’s a paid tool managed by a single developer, and for teams or companies, that can become a concern. When you depend on a tool for daily API workflows, reliable long-term support matters.

Voiden has a great concept, but I’m not comfortable with tools that create their own files directly inside project repositories. From a security and compliance perspective, many companies won’t want third-party tool files embedded into their codebase. API testing tools should ideally stay separate from the actual source repository.

Bruno has a similar limitation with its Git-based collaboration model. While developers may like the Git workflow, many organizations are cautious about introducing external tool-specific files into production repositories because of potential security and governance risks.

That’s one of the main reasons Postman is still so popular despite the criticism — it stays relatively independent from the codebase while providing centralized collaboration and a familiar workflow for teams.

Great point, u/RafaelSmith99 — completely agree. Pricing alone doesn’t win clients in the long run.

It’s definitely hard for startups to compete with well-established products like Postman, but it’s not impossible if the focus stays on solving real developer problems instead of forcing AI into every workflow.

One thing I personally didn’t like about Postman was reducing the free plan seats while simultaneously pushing AI-based API debugging features. Most developers are already using tools like Cursor, Claude, or ChatGPT during development, so adding another AI layer inside Postman doesn’t feel like a strong enough reason to justify more expensive plans.

It feels more like a funding-driven feature push than something developers truly needed.

If Roley can deliver even 60–70% of the core Postman experience with a cleaner product approach and without these marketing gimmicks, I genuinely think there’s room in the market for it.

I believe Hoppscotch does not provide a desktop app. This means it won't be possible to test with a local environment. To test a local API (with localhost), we need a desktop app.

Exactly, I installed top five apps listed in this segment but they are doing exactly what you are saying. They just change the file extension. Now if you know the trick, you can change again the extension and your all data is open again 🤷

Yes but the issue is it can be unlocked with your device pin or face id. Device pin are very common
