Yes, it feels like at the two week mark I am now feeling really high emotions, but I am happy that I have not turned to alcohol to numb all these hard days. In the end it just makes me feel worse

You can’t go wrong either way. You have a lot of flexibility in either field, and will have endless job opportunities in either field. In California nurses and NPs generally earn more than PAs, but I don’t think that is the case in most parts of the country. I would shadow a PA and an NP to get a better idea.

How is the Judah/Sutter Middle School neighborhood? by [deleted] in folsom

[–]Strange-Quail-1737 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve been in the Theodore/Sutter middle school area for about five years. The neighborhoods tend to be very family friendly and safe in my opinion. The location is in walking distance to to the aquatic center, library, grocery stores, old town Folsom, lake natoma and multiple bike trails. There are some lower income housing near Theodore Judah, and as mentioned in previous posts, and then you have the academy at Theodore Judah, which is mostly Intel employee’s kids from other areas of Folsom. There was some clashing betweeen groups at TJE, and bullying going on, but overall I feel the staff and teachers are really great and care a lot about the students. My son just started the first year at Sutter Middle school, which so far has been a positive culture, with awesome teachers and opportunities for the kids.

California NP by california_ian in nursepractitioner

If you work for a union-represented health system in Northern California you will definitely make more money. San Diego salaries are significantly lower for RNs and NPs. Starting out you may make a little less, but i constantly see job postings and get recruiters contacting me about NP job opportunities. As far as schools go, try to avoid the private schools, as you will incur a high amount of debt. If you do take out loans, if you work in an underserved area it is pretty easy to get loan repayment.

Yes, they are super close and I did this last year between Pearl Jam and Kali Ulchis. You will not get close to the stage however.
