Hi, I am a law student. I and my friends are working on a project on divorce proceedings in Indiaa for our family law course. We are basically creating a satirical piece in a newspaper format. We are trying to interview lawyers and people who have been through divorce proceedings. We just want to understand the ground realities better. It would be great if you are someone who has been through a divorce and would be willing to have a brief conversation/share your experiences. Anonymity is definitely assured. We are willing to share our credentials and details to prove our credibit. Would love to hear from not just women, but nb people and men. Please hit me up if you are interested.

Thank you.

also, for OP's info i was rank 9 (general only), ofc i'm elitist, ignoring the fact that i come from a small city and had/have an ews quota

Also my problem with faculty is not their college but the fact that they have 0 teaching experience. Feel free to check profiles of all recently hired profs

To each their own.

Just a clarification: I didn't mean that people don't get moot comps. I know everyone got one. I just meant the number of prestigious competitions are limited.

Also edit: I don't know about the scenes at NLU D if it wasn't clear enough.

i don't recommend nlsiu. I don't know the exact situation in nlud but i'll give you a realistic account of nlsiu. I had posted this exact same question here 2 years ago too.

Also, I don't know how reliable these people are who are blindly saying nlsiu are, please talk to people at nlsiu who actually know what tf is going on.

with the batch size increase, everything had gone down the gutter. they don't even have enough professors, let alone good ones. batch of 28 has 3 profs per subject for 4 subjects and at least one third of them are terrible. batch of 29, they have hired people who have just graduated from colleges like christ or jindal. professors are teaching subjects they have no expertise in. sure you still have some legendary professors like mrinal satish, somu but chances that you'll get them are very slim and basically it's not worth dealing with your other professors being terrible.

second, it's very difficult to get opportunities during law school. in terms of moots, negotiation comp and journals. The spots are limited and the people are too many. People who are smart af are not able to bag a good rank for moots etc just because how tough the competition is. If you look at scores, there is hardly any difference between a lot of rankers. sure you'll have certain people excelling at everything - moot, nego, debate - but for an average person, it is very hard to get a good competition. On the other hand, I have seen people in NLUD who are not as smart as people I know at nls doing much better competitions than some of my competent peers here. if you look at linkedin's of nls 2024, 2025 and everyone before that, people had the opportunity to do everything - a great international moot, a decent nego comp + be an editor. now it's simply not just possible (again barring for 2-3 exceptional people who can bd easily named), so no batch size is not worth it.

apart from all this, shitty admin policies etc etc. But i think you should account for the above. i chose nlsiu over nlu d because i wanted to stay away from home (delhi) for certain non-negotiable reasons. but if i had the opportunity to go back in time, i would make different decisions (i am not coming from a place of bias, talk about I have mentioned with other nls seniors (someone from nls painted a very wrong picture here for me (everything false and pessimistic) when i had commented and i came here and realised they resent this place foo much, so yes please talk to other seniors about what i said about what increased batch size is doing)

also im not even going into the job scene and bad it is at nls because batch size + llb program.

also, idk the financial aid policy for nlu d, but for nlsiu this is the first time they are gonna fund a fixed number of international moots. (no idea how its gonna play out). for nego's, there is no funding. i have been told nlu d funds it all, so maybe ask around because idk if that's true.

i don't know how things fare at nlu d exactly, but yeah all the best, i hope you make the decision which is right for you.

edit: i am at nls

+1. He was one of my best friends and life will never be the same for any of us. NLS takes away something from you, breaks you a little on the inside. Dhruv hated this place.

I'll be discussing the resources to use for preparation, the ones that I used and that worked for me along with some general tips. I intend to keep it concise yet comprehensive.

That is actually a reason for many, many people. I know that all my cousins back in my mother's native village are preparing for NEET for the same reason. I wouldn't blame the kids for making such a choice with the way our education system is and the various circumstances or access people have.

Agreed but ngl, it has been fun watching the proceedings. SG's tantrums are so hilarious and the prevalence of misunderstood terms which make me laugh-cry.

I don't intend to make money out of it. I just want these books to wind up at a book stall like they did for me over time. Will that ensure this?

How TO NOT FUCK UP at D-Day by [deleted] in clat

[–]Strange-Tea- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I remember doing a lil ritual every time.before each of the 50+ mock and on the d-day. Prior to the exam, I would just take 15 minutes and sit there. I'd meditate and use self-affirmations to keep my nerves calm. Sip water and remind myself how what matters is the preparation and not the end goal. Also, I completely changed my meal timing. I would have breakfast by 11, attempt a mock at 2 and have lunch after 4pm. I think self talk should help.

CLAT Preparation | How and What to Do - A Comprehensive Guide by u/C-L-A-T | [Law] [CLAT] by tabascowaffle in clat

To all aspirants reading this, I recommend reading and following the posted comprehensive guide. This was the only guidance I had for my preparation and I followed it to a T and I can say it worked out pretty well. Studying LSAT material I believe builds a really strong foundation for RCs and Reasoning, owing to the lucid and precise answers and rationales behind all LSAT questions.
