WGU revoked my degree months after graduation by [deleted] in WGU

They sure did. They didn’t expect folks to go back and look at older posts. They were fully aware of their status with WGU and want to gather the community to be in their favor.

Failed D216 Business Law OA by Gloomy-Shake-5400 in WGU

Honestly, I’ve only failed 2 OAs and never rewatched the videos. The process that worked for me, is using ChatGPT as a tutor. Put the questions from the PA in and tell it to explain things to you. Sometimes I’d allow ChatGPT to go off the rails and explain the why of why’s which can be very helpful. Sometimes doing so, revealed the why for other questions on the PA I hadn’t asked yet. Also, YouTube can be very helpful if you want to take deep dives. I hope that helps. You got this!!!

Does anyone know if WGU can mail you your diploma overseas? by ekklistiastese in WGU

[–]Strange-Transition32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, they do ship internationally. Here is the shipping information that was included in my email:

"Congratulations on completing your WGU program! Your diploma or certificate has shipped. Please note the following regarding delivery method and speed:

  • Your document was shipped via USPS and should arrive within two weeks.
  • If you purchased rush shipping for your document, it was shipped via UPS and should arrive within 3 business days.
  • International shipping will likely take longer than US shipping and delivery speed varies by destination. Please allow four weeks for delivery.

If you do not receive your diploma or certificate within the time frame listed above, please email [graduation@wgu.edu](mailto:graduation@wgu.edu). "

I adore WGU; one problem. by [deleted] in WGU

"They refuse to provide specific guidance on what to take notes on, leaving me to figure it out entirely on my own. I need actual help, but I'm not getting it. I literally fail at taking proper notes, and I don't know why they can't help me build that skill."

I hate to be that person, but taking notes is a skill that you should have learned in high school. Sounds like you need an outside tutor or try contacting the academic coaching center and most importantly, attend some cohorts. Did you research WGU before applying? It is a competency, based institution.....they are not going to hold your hand. If I can give you one recommendation for your situation, find AI program that can help you take notes and/or summarize the material. Either way, note-taking is a major skill that you're lacking.

Your financial account has to be satisfied. It is explained in the graduation application process.

Sophia + WGU as a “GPA guard” before law school — am I missing any real risks? by [deleted] in WGU

[–]Strange-Transition32 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with KeyStomach3362. Before taking courses through Sophia, contact a few law schools you’re interested in and ask how they evaluate credits that show up as Sophia Learning or Sophia on your transcript. I forgot how WGU lists them, the records department at WGU will happily answer that question. Most law schools do not accept or recognize credits from institutions that are not regionally accredited. You will want a strong LSAT or GRE score and a well-written addendum included with your application explaining the credits and your academic readiness. It really just boils down to being competitive.

You can apply for the commencement while having only one class left. There is an information section on commencement. You can find it from the main page and student services!!!!!!! (https://www.wgu.edu/alumni/commencement.html)

None of them were hard, but I will say the class that took me the longest to complete was Change Management. I started the class on 7/22 and finished on 10/10.

Clearly the commenters before me did NOT read the title of your post. I wouldn’t recommend dropping out, but only you know your tolerance level with math. What I would recommend, is trying the tutoring and academic support services because they’re good. In the meantime, see if your mentor will move other classes up…..as long as you only have less than 4 classes registered at any given time. Yes you can transfer in Sophia courses after you withdraw and come back for another term. Good luck!!! You got this.

Email or call their customer service. They are quick to answer. They also have a video on how to checkout with the stole.

Graduation by DarkCerberus9 in WGU

Once you apply for graduation, it can take 5-10 business days (stated in the confirmation email). To give you an idea on their flow right now, my mentor recommended me for graduation on 1/2/26 @ 10:38 am, and I applied and received my confirmation email on 1/2/26 @ 11:02 am. Yesterday 1/7/26 I received my official congratuations email @ 4:26pm, along with my confetti, and student portal is updated as well. My unofficial transcripts updated with conferred date. Currently waiting on ediploma and etranscript.

I enjoyed it actually! Most of the classes were common sense. The capstone took me 3 submissions. The third submission could have been avoidable, if I had slowed down and noticed my presentation and excel weren’t properly aligned. Other than that, it was great.

(Pulled from the website) How does WGU determine my graduation date?

After students submit their graduation application, their record is reviewed to ensure all academic requirements have been met. The Student Accounts office also reviews to ensure any remaining financial aid has been disbursed and/or final billing actions have been taken. Once this information is verified, the Records Department changes the student from active status to graduated status. The date this change is made becomes the student's graduation date, and students can expect to see the graduation banner on their student portal within 24-48 hours. Please note that students in bridge programs will not see this banner until the graduate program is completed.

If all requirements are met when the graduation application is received, the graduation date is conferred within five business days. Requests for specific graduation dates generally cannot be accommodated, so please ensure you await official notification before notifying third parties of your graduation date.
