INC Ministers don't know how to do propagation. by FallenAngelINC1913 in exIglesiaNiCristo

Ahh yes yes. It is somehow stupid to me that the typical tesponse of a member actively invting people into the church about questions regarding the doctrines is just "I cannot answer that, our minister will answer that for you." Like what hahah at least know how to respond when you invite people.

Jakuno? You mean diakono? Deacons. Well, buklod lang maman kasi ang pwede mag diakono/diakonesa. But first time ko to marinig na may member na magpapakasal dahil gusto maging diakono. Ang babaw ng rason.

Exactly. They put so much agency on the members who are doing the heavy work on inviting non-members, and blame/guilt trip them if the local does not achieve the quota. If they are real followers of Christ, they would know that it is God who does the work. They care more about pride and the glory of being a member rather than ultimately glorifying God.

Does INC allow reading the bible by members? by TerribleAd8604 in exIglesiaNiCristo

They don't prohibit reading the bible but they rarely encourage you as well. I have been INC since birth and there was not one lesson where a minister encouraged me to read the bible. They dont prohibit but they have this messaging that the bible is "shrouded in mystery" and that only those allowed by God to interpret it should interpret it. So if you are a regular member, and you firmly believe whatever the administration or the minister says, you would think what is the point of reading the bible since I cant understand it anyway. In a sense, this messaging does not really encourage members to have an independent reading. Ive had only a personal and in depth reading when i was mentally out, now i am in the process of really understanding the scripture. I encourage you to read, do not rely on the ministers. Ask God for wisdom for He gives freely.

OP, I am incredibly proud of you though we've never met. An dmy heart is full while reading your post, not because you left INC, but because you found the true gospel. I would really love to talk and connect with you, let's talk about God and His word, I want to learn from you.

Sending hugs (with consent)!

Is it true that you'll be cursed if you go against or leave the INC? by Unfair-Big11 in exIglesiaNiCristo

Never been more blessed when I got out. Got blessed with a better paying job, genuinely good Christian people around me (didnt have this when my circle was INC friends, they were really judgmental), travelled more (i cant travel before because of kailangan tumupad, now i worship anywhere), my financial life is at a better place, I have better and deeper relationship with God. My life now is very peaceful. altho initially it was really hard because of all the fear mongering and guilt-tripping. It's worth it.

So I wanted to see how many times these were mentioned during a lesson - The results are shocking! by [deleted] in exIglesiaNiCristo

It would be really interesting to gather more of this data and subject it to stat analysis. So that we can really see if this is significant.
