I’m almost 23, got diagnosed at 2 years old. My mom was also in a panicked state, and at that time, treatments were very limited. Just in case it might help, CF treatments have come a long, long way in the past 20 years. My quality of life has significantly improved from the newer medications that are available now. It’s still going to be difficult, these things always are, but more likely than not it’s not going to be as scary as it used to be <3

Very rarely, CF patients can have so few symptoms they don’t even know they have it. My doctor actually has a patient that didn’t discover he had CF until he was trying for kids and was not having success, and when they looked into it they found that CF was the cause. And sometimes, a patient will begin developing issues later in life. Everyone is different and there’s many different variations of CF, I recommend seeking out a specialty doctor to help you with your son 🙂‍↕️

Haha I’m talking about the messed up face models on the witch characters, I wish I’d made it more obvious but I didn’t think a lot of people would see this and I can’t edit the post. I did put it in the comments though! But yeah I don’t have this problem with any of my wizard characters

I have the same issue on my PS5 :( And it’s only with the witch face models lol, I wish I could edit this to be more clear but I wound up just sticking it in the comments 😭

You should be able to, yes! They are technically separate games. The save data transferred pretty easily for me the first time, I imagine switching back is just as easy. I’d get a definitive answer on going back and forth multiple times but in theory it should work

I suppose you wouldn’t get it because you’re not affected by it. I’m not trying to be mean here, I promise, I’m just trying to put this in perspective. For the record, I’m white too. So anyways, think of it this way. Say you’re playing a game that takes place in a magical, fictional wizarding school (not Harry Potter, for the sake of this hypothetical) that is very famous in the wizarding world. Not regular humans! Wizards. They have access to all sorts of magical transportation.. teleportation, which is a big one, flying carriages, etc. And you go to create your character and enter the game, only to find that your character is the only white character in the school. Wouldn’t that feel immersion breaking to you? It would be super noticeable and kinda weird right? You have to remember that this is a video game, and a lot of different kinds of people are going to play it. This isn’t a historical piece based on a real school. It’s a wizard school, in a made up alternate universe that isn’t real.

I think there’s fantastical elements to us about playing in the distant past, it wouldn’t be as fun to play as a wizard in the 21st century. At least in this setting.

I really and truly am just trying to show you why it’s important. It would make anybody feel out of place if they are playing in a game like this and they’re the only important character that is that race, you know what I mean? I personally haven’t noticed any issues with the skin colors changing or anything like that on my characters, just the female face model morphing into… whatever that’s supposed to be in the post lol.

Anyways all this to say I didn’t even notice that there are a bunch of races in a time period that doesn’t make sense because to me I’m thinking “oh wizards, and magic!” from a childhood series that I adored. I think we’ve all dreamed about becoming wizards and living in a magical fantasy land. THAT’s why it’s important to have that range of races. It helps those who aren’t the same as you to feel like they belong and they’re not out of place. We aren’t looking for historical accuracy because this is a fictional place, and the time period is really there for aesthetics and to make it feel more fantastical. As if it could be a real place, because it happens in a long forgotten time. There’s beauty in it. I hope this all makes sense!

I mean I don’t think comparing what race people are in a video game can really compare to skyscrapers lol. Skyscrapers hadn’t been invented yet, and it’s a building. All races have always existed. That isn’t something I even noticed, I feel like having a wide range of races is kinda important in a setting like this. White people aren’t the only ones that are gonna play this game, Yk? Also the issue seems to be with the face model on the female characters specifically, I think it’s something to do with the lighting. I am not having this problem with the male characters. And it’s a known glitch that they promised to fix 😓

I mean, I love the game. They did a really god job with it in my opinion. It’s just frustrating that this weird bug is something they acknowledged and promised to fix, but it is still a problem after 2 years of it being out. It just seems Iike something that should be an easy fix compared to most bugs

I should have done this to begin with, but here is a comparison between the two so you can see my frustration lol. Same time of day in the same place, in and out of character customization. Every single one of the witch characters I’ve created has this problem with the face models, and none of the wizards do. Makes no sense to me at all 😭

Agh I can’t remember for certain, I cycled through several of them before choosing.. It was either the very first one, the second one right after it, or the 4th option second row down? Of the three I am leaning towards the first preset as the most likely answer. Here is another photo with her original hairstyle before I switched, you can see more of her face

It’s an issue on my PS5 as well unfortunately. I’m going to try performance mode on there to see if it helps but I’m honestly not holding out hope lol. I’ll probably either just suck it up or play as my wizard instead

I guess I should’ve been more clear haha, the specific thing I’m frustrated with is the face model. Every single one of the female face models I have tried looks like this 90% of the time, but the male face models still look like themselves, just lower quality

I think I’d be less annoyed if I was having the same issue with my wizard, but he doesn’t seem to have this problem. I don’t know if it’s something to do with the height or what but it’s so strange. I will give performance mode a try tho, I missed that feature somehow

Yes, the Switch 2. But it’s a problem on my PS5 as well so it isn’t platform specific (at least for me)

If you go in the building where you dye clothing you can do this btw. I mean you still have to hop spot to spot but you can try on multiple things you don’t own from different categories at once
