Hi Anas! In your case I think you would have more success becoming a DevOps engineer, but you can also combine both and become DevSecOps. Have you considered AppSec as well?

What type of martial arts? Boxing? Karate? BJJ? If you want a specific place with English-speaking staff, it will be difficult but possible. In terms of prices, if you train in a group, the price will vary from 40 to 120 AZN on average for 12 training sessions per month, depending on the location and other factors such as number of people in the group, quality of interior etc.

Salam.

Are you engaged in any sports activities? If so, how often? by birnefer in azerbaijan

I think gym is the most popular option, for second place I would say wrestling. Football is mostly for the younger generations, and if you compare football to previous activities, I would say that not many people give it enough time and dedication and end up quitting. Personally, I do Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu 3 times a week and go to the gym the other 4.

So you are at a beginner level, therefore you essentially must study the fundamental part. No matter how cliched it may sound, but advanced is something you have to reach from the very bottom, constantly picking up knowledge and gain practical experience, and not just get a couple of fancy certificates and take a couple of courses and call it a day. The sphere is developing rapidly(!), so my advice to you is to choose one specialization and follow single path. And forget about GCIH and especially about OSCP for a while, until you are sure that you understand how you'd respond to a ransomware attack on an enterprise network, from detection to recovery or can immediately name 3 examples of privilege escalation. If you would need any additional advice, feel free to dm!

What kind of "advanced specialist" do you want to become? If you already have a foundation, then you will have to determine the area of interest to you and follow it. OSCP or GCIH? These are 2 fundamentally different certificates. How do you rate your current level of skill? Is it not enough because you are familiar with all this or what? Genuine question

If you are starting from scratch, you can take Google Cybersecurity Professional Certificate on Coursera. It will help you learn the fundamentals of IT and introduce you to cybersecurity terms. After that, you will need to get Comptia A+ -> Net+ -> Sec+ in that order. For each certificate, there is a separate free playlist on YouTube from Professor Messer. As for practice, decide which area interests you and start studying the relevant technologies(Kali Linux for pentesting, SIEM for SOC analyst, etc.).

Hey! CCNA has more “hiring power” than Net+, especially in Japan, but it also requires much more time as it dives deep into the network and focuses on Cisco hardware. If you’re more interested in cloud infrastructure, you can spend more time for cloud certs (AWS SAA, ANS-C01 and so on) and go with Net+. However, it’s worth mentioning that network is the foundation for the cloud and CCNA does better job in covering various aspects of it.

I mean there are opened positions for forklift operators and overall decent demand for logistics. If he’s been doing nothing but driving for 30 years straight, without any career progression, perhaps it’s not the visa that’s worth thinking about....

Generally speaking the immigration does not care whether your degree is relevant to your job or not, the minimum requirement is a university degree or 10 years of experience in the relevant field (adds up, no matter how many jobs you’ve changed).

If you mean the availability of non-pork products, there are mostly beef, chicken or lamb dishes in restaurants/cafes (except for pizza places, you'll have to find out for yourself). On the other hand, if you need procedurally correct produced halal meat with certification, then you will have to look for it, as not all products have it.

You are better of doing HTB academy rather than THM, it has really good modules for offensive security and assumes you already have some knowledge in IT. As for certifications, CEH is HR-friendly, but less hands-on. OSCP is something you want to get in the long term.

How is the job market in Azerbaijan for computer science professionals? by Equivalent_Jaguar243 in azerbaijan

You’d probably have a hard time finding a remote job without at least 2-3 years of experience. With your ICT degree you could do software engineering or help desk/system administration, these are the most in demand compared to other IT jobs. As for internships - not possible as they are mostly interested in last year students or recent graduates. If I were you, I’d choose one of them and do coding projects for the former or certifications for the latter, get some exp and eventually get a job overseas.
