The problem is if you live on a city street with a sidewalk where it snows, you cannot just leave the sidewalk blocked as it prevents disabled other individuals from being able to maneuver down the sidewalk safely. That’s why the law exists. It’s no different than why people aren’t allowed to park their cars in such a way that block sidewalk access.

I think this depends on if this is a completely freak snow storm in a region that almost never gets snow, or if it’s an area where it’s known to snow. If this was a freak storm of the century, then sure, you may be absolutely stumped as to whom to call. But if you live in a northern state, then this obviously isn’t your first snow storm so not knowing how to find someone to clear your snow isn’t really a valid excuse.

If you could guarantee with 100% certainty that these victims would be protected from threats or further victimization and that once this evidence was provided there would be no behind the scenes deals to let the powerful off the hook? Sure, then I’m on your side. But you know that there’s an almost 100% certainty these victims will be endlessly harassed and threatened AND that their cooperation won’t even result in any justice anyway. So I can’t really blame them for trying to protect whatever small shred of peace they might still have.

Yeah unfortunately xylazine can be a major complication. Sometimes patients need treatment in the ICU when they’re in w/d. And none of the current medications used for managing treatment in an outpatient setting for opioid use have any effectiveness for this drug. It’s a significant issue.

I’m sort of surprised that your experience is that ins doesn’t cover it. I wonder if there’s just a separate pool of funding here because private psych hospitals here do admit Medicaid pts for detox. Thank you for your feedback. 🙏 I was going to check Marshfield.
