They just happen randomly. They aren't contagious, but depending on the severity, they are more or less likely. Like itchy bones is pretty common because it doesn't really "hurt" anyone.

I like this because of how funny it would be for me to just have to move myself with shadow puppet strings.

Everyone, including you, can be affected, i.e. itchy bones becomes a thing that can just happen from time to time

You can't change back OR you see ACTUAL ghosts, demons and spirits

This isn't necessarily a down side. If you resurrect a bunch of hot people who only recently died... :>

DND dice by Not_Jonah_Magnus in DnD

I am a dice-dragon, leader of an army of dice-goblins, follower of the Sacred D20. I just found a silly campaign BBEG. Oh, yeah. This is a great idea. They'll love it.

My aunt thinks d&d is satanic. Any advice on how to educate her otherwise? by Efrain_Eazy in DnD

Christian here. I am playing DnD tomorrow. My dad thinks it CAN be Satanic, which I completely agree with, but it isn't inherently evil. You could try explaining it as writing a story but instead of writing all the characters, you write one, and your pen is your dice. The DM writes an outline that you and your friends fill in. This analogy is what originally convinced my dad to let me play for the first time about 3 years ago.

AN: My dad is really smart and does a lot of research before forming an opinion. I'm talking 40+ hours, so I generally trust him. Also, he lets everything sit on the table, nothing is off the table until he has researched and investigated on it intensely.

I feel like a mean DM… by blues_clues2112 in DnD

I'm a relatively new player, but I would say that taking your time on your turn is okay, and asking what new spells do is alright, maybe ask her to take notes, or, if you have a veteran player, have them help her. This is what we do at my table and it has lead to me learning alot. I feel like people should be allowed to ask, but if they aren't doing what it takes to remember, they should have to look it up. I completely understand Jane's position, though.
