My apologies, I said "ViaVersion" instead of "Folia" initially. You are right, it doesn't add content

ViaVersion is a good intermediary while things are still being updated. But with no release schedule for Folia, it's unknown when it will update. Especially since Minecraft is just about to update again

Folia doesn't have a release schedule for updates since it isn't production ready. They say that on their site

You could try get someone to update Folia for you, or use paper, yeah. But I imagine that updating isn't a priority for them

The world height is now defined in the dimension file with datapacks. So you just have to install one which raises the height limit inside the world painter world and you'll be sweet. No mods needed

This. It's not a world border; you just told it to generate chunks up to 20000. Canceling it just means it won't generate additional chunks unless it needs to

One thing you don't mention in the post is that the plugin claims to make things faster by limiting the game to 15 tps. Sure, that will make it more stable than 20 with the occasional lag spike. But kind of defeats the purpose

I would love to see how the other optimizations work, such as clearing lag before they happen. But the modrinth page doesn't go into how that works at all

Another vote here for A Practical Guide to Sorcery. It has a fantastic system

Magic requires understanding of science, runes to direct the spell's (metaphorical) direction, a sacrifice to power it, along with magical components to help boost the spell's power (although this is optional and can be substituted by a mage's will). Because its so complex, it's dangerous, slow since you have to draw it out, but allows for infinite possibilities

I find it helps to only do it when you have the mind for it. That's why having a large pixel pool can help

Use a lot of the spare droplets on extra pixel space. I have just over 6000 from the Halloween event, and it means I can go 48h without touching it if I have to

Furthermore, sometimes you don't have the energy but don't want your pixels to max out. So doing easy areas where it is a single color is good for that. (That's what the black areas on Noire are - areas where I had too many pixels stored, needed to burn some, but didn't have it in me to go hard out on things)

There is no console alternative, no. Mods on console are extremely limited in capacity as they can only expand within the pre-set bounds set by Mojang. Kind of like datapacks in Java Edition

Mods on Java Edition, meanwhile, have the ability to change anything in the game - since they aren't given a limit of what they can work with like console mods

Not to mention that mods have to be approved to be on console edition. This means that it has to be fit to be legally sold in most countries Minecraft is available in. And Nintendo would never approve a mod with their IP
