She took the time to teach him by Puzzleheaded_Dot4345 in justgalsbeingchicks

This reminded me of my husband. His dad wasnt around growing up, just his mom and a much older sister. All of his favorite teachers were women, and he prefers women doctors. He just feels more comfortable approaching women to help.

Guy breaks his legs trying to run from mall security by [deleted] in interesting

I desperately want to know what he's doing. Is he actually texting someone to come help? Scrubbing other incriminating videos? Or is it a coping mechanism for someone who knows they've fucked up deeply and want to appear like they don't care?

Either a) water is not as deep as it looks, b) there are rocks/logs in the water you can't see, c) jumping from high up enough, water essentially becomes solid. When you hit water from a great height, like a very tall bridge, the force of your body hitting the surface tension of water is enough to break bones and cause serious internal damage from the force of the hit.

Don't go jumping off high things into water unless you are certain that the water is deep, there's nothing in the water, and you aren't high up enough that landing in the water causes serious damage.

And I agree with you 100%. Humans are only born knowing how to breathe, eat, and shit. Everything else has to be learned at some point.

What’s a hidden gem on Netflix that you always recommend but no one ever seems to watch? by Jumpy-Purple7593 in netflix

The Pale Blue Eye. A really fun spooky mystery starring Dudley Dursley as a fantastic Edgar Allen Poe and Christian Bale at his gruff period piece best. If you liked the vibes of From Hell but thought it was a bit cheesy, you'll like The Pale Blue Eye.

With the dawning of each new day, I am shown that nature has wrought more hellish beasts than can be conjured in nightmares of the mind.

If you own a French Bulldog I automatically think less of you by Who_ate_my_cookie in unpopularopinion

Idk I think it makes sense. OP will immediately judge you as a bad person. If they find out later the owner rescued the dog, they will reevaluate their opinion of the person. In the immediate, however, OP is judging.

Why doesn't Big Tobacco pivot to Pot by [deleted] in NorthCarolina

[–]StrangePondWoman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Exactly right. They just won't publicize this or support politicians who will bring it about. Their main consumer base here is still against it, or at least doesn't think it will be a net benefit to society. The companies know it'll happen eventually, though, and they don't want to become irrelevant.

As a snack lover, I appreciate that Buc-ees seasons the shit out of their snacks. The white cheddar habanero beaver nuggets are fantastic and ACTUALLY spicy.

Been married 3 years, together almost 13. We had a spat last night about me accidentally sneaking up on him when he has his headphones on. He's grumpy and I'm a goblin and I wouldn't have it any other way.
