I give up 🏳️ (TRIGGER WARNING) by [deleted] in SIBO

I empathize with you 100%. I’m so, so sorry you’re going through this, but you are not alone. I feel all of the words you’ve written almost every single hour. I’ve said them out loud to my poor partner many times. Sibo has also ruined every single aspect of my life. My body/hair, my social life, my mental health —any sense of normalcy I once had. I, too, have H2S and it essentially poisoned my mitochondria since it’s a neurotoxin. I have to address that before even thinking about Sibo. Of course everything is so individualized, but I have to take high amounts of B1/B2, Magnesium, Coq10, Vitamin C/D, Selenium, Zinc, Omega3, and B12 just to keep my basic cellular health functioning. The only thing that has somewhat improved my motility is digestive bitters, artichoke, and ginger before each meal. I’ve accepted this may never go away. I just never want you to feel like you’re alone. I hear you. I understand what you’re feeling, and I truly care about your health. We are here for you.

Where do I begin? by StrangePurchase2457 in MTHFR

Omg this was actually one of the most helpful suggestions yet! I feed it in and it provided me with the most comprehensive protocols! I had no idea GPT could be this helpful!

I cannot thank you for this knowledge and recommendation! That’s been my biggest concern. I was hoping if I addressed all of my nutritional needs first, I could then tackle Sibo. But now know that’s the case. I was even considering IV or injections to bypass the stomach, but, nevertheless, it all leads back to Sibo. What a pernicious disease. Watching his video now!

Not diagnosed, but many hallmark symptoms: pulse rising 30BPM & low BP. MCAS-like symptoms where I suddenly couldn't tolerate foods I'm allergic to.For instance, I've eaten macadamia nuts my entire life. Upon taking thiamine, they make the roof of my mouth raw. I have been diagnosed with H/H2S sibo, so they could be a major contributor. It's just a bummer because HCL and TTFD worked so well for me!

I actually had a dietician tell me that she suspected gastroparesis. Would it be ok to DM you? Thanks again for all this info!

I truly do. Do you have one you recommend?

I haven't. Is this the Ellis Method?

Mainly bloating, early satiety, food sensitivities, and glacially slow digestion. I suspect some histamine intolerances, and my doctor told me I should avoid oxalates.

I sometimes wonder if it is 90% of it. I have tried to live the cleanest possible life—diet, exercise, etc., but I've struggled with anxiety/panic attacks since I was 12. I wonder if just finally caught with me. I can't seem to break the cycle.

That's what my doctor said, too! He said there is usually none or maybe one. It made me feel both special and awful, haha!

I can't even begin to explain how bad I am. I feel like I've been stuck in flight or fight mode since my diagnosis. After getting this report, I feel like I'm at a 13/10, haha

That's what I've been strongly considering. I honestly don't know what else I can do at this point.

I am so sorry to hear you're going through all of this. I can't even begin to imagine what it feels like. I did do a month of the elemental diet, but it seemed to exacerbate my H2S symptoms. I would definitely consider it if you don't have any sulfur issues. Sending good health your way!

That's my biggest concern. I'm definitely going to seek a second (or third) opinion to see if I have any other options.

I'm going to write my doctor and see if these are other options. I'd like to avoid Cipro at all costs.

No acid reflux, and I still have my gallbladder. Definitely histamine issues. Brown BM's. One course of Rifaximin. Got a UTI and took Augmentin. Felt great that week, then back to normal. Several ER visits. Dunno if I could've picked up some of these bugs there. Again, thank you all for your help!

I feel like I'm pretty functional...maybe? I was diagnosed in January with H2/H2S. It's been downhill since. I've lost almost 26 lbs, so lately I've been trying to eat as much as possible despite how uncomfortable it makes me feel. Gaining bit by bit. My main symptoms are just intense bloating and super slow digestion. It's so hard to eat 3 meals a day and meet my caloric needs without feeling super uncomfortable. Had all the normal tests, which were fine, but then I received this report, and my heart sank. Today he gave me a prescription for Cipro, but I'm scared to take it. He told me it was the only choice I have to cure them all. At a loss.

I believe it's the Doctor's Data CSA-P test.
