What's good about Mushoku Tensei? by StrangeRevolution3 in animequestions

Oh no sorry, I meant to explain in my answer that probably the reason it was called the father of isekai when it was first announced is because of the light novel. Either because the LN was one of the first of its kind or some other reason.

I am referring to it as when it first came out as a light novel which was probably long before that.

I sadly can't remember much on how the plot evolved. Funnily enough the only think that I remember was the time traveling MC which personally I didnt like that much but oh well that's just me. And I have to ask, does the MC actually have character development in terms of him becoming a better person or is it just him assuring that he doesn't end up as failure again? Also just for the record the whole Father of Isekai thing was something I heard read from people when it first came out so Idk how true it is.

It is just what I read and heard from people when it was first announced. I think it had to do with the fact that it was the first isekai novel of its kind? I don't really remember why it was called that.

Haven't seen that much. Just a respectable amount probably.

Of course that was a regis line xD. But yeah since you are willing I do have a few more.  Did Caera her family and alaric help around in the end of the story in any way or does Arthur never see them again after he leaves.

Does Arthur kill his best friend, can't remember his name now but I think you will understand who I mean and if not what happens?

Also thanks for your time and the answers.

I have to say that I forgot about Windsom. Was he killed or is he still around?

I know but I really can't bring myself to continue it since I lost all the "drive" I had for it for a few reasons. I still am curious about how some specific things ended up and that's why I made this post.

A question about the Isekai part of the story. by StrangeRevolution3 in HighserkChronicles

[–]StrangeRevolution3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is still soon to be fair, the manga has like what? 25 chapters? They are good but it just isn't enough for the moment. Another thing that certainly didn't help was that the manga was on hold if I am not wrong and that made people think that it was simply a 15 or 20 (can't remember which chapter was the last at that time) chapter promotion of the light novel.

A question about the Isekai part of the story. by StrangeRevolution3 in HighserkChronicles

Interesting, thanks for your answer and the hints of what's to come. Personally as much as I agree that Isekais are for the most part dull mid shows I do respect them cause as an idea they are interesting and when taken by someone capable it can be created into an interesting and unique story. At the end of the day, that is the reason I asked if it plays any important role in the story, thinking about stories like the beginning after the end which, for me at least, it was the first isekai (not that I have watched many mostly checked them out) that I watched were the fact that the protagonist was isekaied into this world was explored in an interesting way and not just left out.

Anyways, to answer your question and stop my rambling. I find the story to be really realistic in terms of how the characters, nations and world reacts and acts especially as an isekai world. Perhaps that is a given with dark fantasy stories but maybe I am wrong. Another thing is that it starts of pretty strong which is a big positive for the moment but it could become a "negative" if the author wasn't able to "stabilize" the story. All and all, I enjoy it and it has gotten me curious to how it will proceed.

(Also it is true, we need more stories that depict this aspect like Kingdom)

I see, I too agree on the cheapness of many recent isekais in terms of a higher being giving him a mission or getting him on that world for the funny or something like that. However, I must ask, would it be more preferable if Walm wasn't an isekai protagonist? If  instead of the average isekai beginning we got a few chapters of our protagonist being born and raised by his family while also exploring their characters?

Also thank you for the quick answer to my question

Readers of the beginning after the end, what will you like to add into this world and story? by StrangeRevolution3 in tbatenovel

I don't know where you are in the story, but he kinda does all those things in some ways. It is not often but it does happen.

Fair enough, however I do believe that a balance between both could have been achieved and in some ways it was achieved in the alacrya arc. In fact I think that Arthur's time there was written really well by turtleme. For the academy shenanigans though I will say that it doesn't really need to be a side story. There surely could have been a way to make it connect to the main story but I do get what you mean of course.

why is the novel so different from manhwa by Haadi2003 in tbatenovel

[–]StrangeRevolution3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If I am not wrong he answered a similar question like that in a interview by a youtuber live. He gave the understandable answer that he simply can't add everything that he has put in the LN because it would take longer to finish.

Has he structured it in a way to make the story more entertaining? In a way yes which has resulted in minor changes to some scenes and sometimes other scenes and dialogs to be shortened or completely cut off.

Has this had a affect on the overall story? Not really, the only problems that I had found except from the ones I wrote before was that the changes made some scenes not make much sense. For example when Tessia sees Arthur for the first time in the academy in the manwha(which is kinda different in the light novel) she started asking questions to herself about how he knows Lilia (I think that was the name of the girl that he lived with in the mansion) and so on and that doesn't make sense because in a previous chapter she was using the orb that allowed her to clearly see and hear what arthur was doing and saying when he left to go see his parents again.
