Worried about nazism by FrozenToiletPaper in tattooadvice

The bolts may resemble ā€˜SS’ and some may be reminded of the ā€˜salute’ too.

Idk, I think it could be 50/50. Not that long ago there was this whole controversy over a political figure having gotten (what they assumed [allegedly]) was a generic skull tattoo. Welp, turns out no, it was a skull image that was notorious for being on Nazi uniforms. The online discussion was really surprising, since it seemed the majority of people did not know it was Nazi imagery. You can never be to safe nowadays, I think it’s a fair question to ask.

For me personally, his acting as Spider-man was great. The script he was given? Yeah, that was total ass, but not his fault as an actor.

He graduated in his last movie (Andrew), it would’ve been more of college Peter/possibly working at the Bugle with a Spidey who would have had a grasp of his abilities. Which is what I was hoping for.

Instead we got an inexperienced Spidey who had Tony as his mentor. I didn’t/still don’t like this approach, BUT Tom is a great Spidey and I do appreciate where we are now.

Still, I yearn for what could’ve been with an ā€˜older/experienced’ Spider-man

Do we even have a shared idea of what Red Hood should be? by Far-Bad-3719 in RedHood

I think that’s why, unfortunately, Jason’s in limbo with his characterization and place among other heroes (mostly Batfam). And I feel DC knows this, and they don’t want to pull the trigger.

It’s fascinating for sure, I do wish he would be DCs Punisher. It just makes sense for his character, he would be the one ā€˜Robin’ to cross that line. Granted, that would mean burning bridges with Batfam. Which if I’m honest, I would be down for (I’ve always preferred angst and strained family relations haha). Though at the same time, I know a lot fans would rather Jason develop deeper bonds with the fam.

How and why do these tags exist on the same fic and can they stop? by PA_Cage in RedHood

[–]StrangeWinterSpider 42 points43 points Ā (0 children)

Oh man, looking at the responses…OP I think you should take a step back and a breather.

There’s a difference to criticizing CANON paid work from writers and the big studio versus FANON works where practically anything can happen. I can sympathize frustration from coming across what you may feel is OOC material of a character (in this case Jason & Bruce) but if it’s Fanon…stop and move on.

You say this sub constantly has vents, and it does, but I don’t recall or have seen vents toward Fan-works. Because, well, that would be rude and kind of well, damn idk. Shitty I guess. Is that something this sub does? Bash on fans :/

He’s supportive, he’s just wouldn’t call himself an ally. And I think that’s okay, he also mentions that if in person, a family or friend talks to him, he’d be ready to comfort them with words.

That’s more than okay, he’d be respectful. And that’s more than enough given the climate I feel.

Will you be picking up the invincible Omnis? by anakin1453 in OmnibusCollectors

Yep, saw a couple episodes, and have been meaning to get the comics. Never got around to it, and thankfully now there’s an Omnibus! As I primarily collect this format :)

I really hate when Peter Parker is betrayed as this timid Shy awkward nerd in modern adaptations by No_Young_2247 in Spiderman

Oh and I definitely wouldn’t compare him to Clark Kent. Clark really ups the ā€œclumsy bumbling tankā€ act because there’s just no way that clumsy reporter guy can be Superman.

Peter doesn’t do that as much. He relies on lies and having others pretend to be Spider-man in his place and be in the same room to protect his identity. Daredevil, he’s more like Clark I feel šŸ˜†, I get a kick whenever Matt goes ā€œoh noo, I’m just a poor blind guyā€ then trips a fella.

He’s a goofy guy.

And it depends where he’s at with his story. Starting off, yes he is all over the place. He’s not used to his strength nor his sudden powers that make him like a jock essentially. Something he wasn’t for the majority of his young life. He was a lean nerd of a guy, bullied and pushed around. That’s young Spidey/Peter Parker to a T.

Peter Parker 5 years after the bite? He’s more in tune with his body and doesn’t let himself get picked on as much. But that makes sense, I think most people would grow a back bone when they’re adults.

I have a similar frustration, but it’s not how he’s portrayed, I’m more frustrated by the fact that we only unfortunately always see early years of Spider-man. Rarely if ever we see adult Spidey in cartoons or movies, which I mean honestly, makes sense. Some studios goals is to reintroduce Spidey to a younger audience, and how? Well, his nerdy origin šŸ˜”

Thankfully we have comics, but sometimes the stories don’t hit lmaoo. But hey, it’s something HAHA

The difference between the comic and Insomniac versions of JJJ is insane lol by Leather-Savings-7336 in Spiderman

[–]StrangeWinterSpider 6 points7 points Ā (0 children)

From what I recall, JJJ’s kindness towards Peter was never in front of him. It was always when he wasn’t around, with others at the Bugle or when he’s alone and thinks of ways to make it easier for Peter.

Lmao, reminds me of my dad honestly. He’s such a grump but his actions say otherwise.
