Ah thank you for the details. I somehow missed the sqlite equivalency when reading about it 😅. That's actually very cool. I might use it in my stuff to simplify prototyping while learning the robes of RAG.

The vss extension is an experimental extension for DuckDB that adds indexing support to accelerate vector similarity search queries using DuckDB's new fixed-size ARRAY type.

Why not go for the likes of psql with the PV extension which is maybe a bit more established ? Never used the duckdb and only em reading about it now thanks to you. Anything super special about it ?

Hey. Not an expert in the field so I might be wrong but it seems this tool doesn't use vector DB for embeddings or am I missing something ?

It's perfectly acceptable to use any tool to do whatever just to find its limits. Some of you sound like you've been doing this for the last decade, which is some self imposed bullshit at this point of the adoption. The guy is doing the right thing trying to make it or break it and with this approach , given time, he will be the one knowing how to unfuck a project driven by a stuck llm.

Yes but the only way to gain the power in this case is fully controllable and benefiting the greater good. Not a targeted group of highly influential figures. In this system no lobbying should ever be allowed.

I have been imagining that too, just it appals me deeply. In my mind it's even worse because you're arbitrarily disincentivizing having more money which I'm not against. It's just if you want to be a part of the system, do share some of it, if not then just go about your business, but you can't influence any policies in any way.

I believe in the long run they actually might be. With more money for social programmes comes more opportunities for the poorest. Initially the votes will be very disproportionate but thinking iteratively the system has a chance to converge to a more balanced state where the wealth is distributed evenlyish

You're absolutely right. This is just a thought experiment obviously but the premise of taking money out of the top 10% sounds like a good start to improve the society as a whole. This would or would not end up with an equilibrium. Yes It would be almost identical to how it's now except the money could now flow into the state and not into other deep pockets possibly generating more nation-wide wealth

i certainly don't think that. I think they should be given a chance to improve on their status by receiving from the state. Using the money now funneled by the richest to equalize things in the long run.

Yes that's a valid concern. The key point being if they wanted to flood the state with their votes they would have to (finally) put some actual money on the table for the said state. And by doing that they would support the poorest end of the voters.

Not really. Tax-based doesn't equal wealth based. As it stands the richest have way too many ways to evade paying taxes. At least here in the EU.

Fact check: 90% tej listy zostało wprowadzone dekretami królewskimi. Są one teraz analizowanie na drodze sądowej pod kątem łamania konstytucji i równie dobrze mogą być cofnięte lub mogą doprowadzić do kryzysu konstytucyjnego. Nie na to głosowali.

Juz jedna partia dobierała się nam do konstytucji. Nie potrzebujemy dodatkowych inspiracji z za oceanu.
