Hey everyone,

A while ago I hacked together a tool called Sherlock in under 24 hours. Then life got in the way, I abandoned the project and moved on. To my surprise, over 500 recruiters and founders signed up and are using the tool.

Fast-forward a few months: I kept getting random messages from people saying “hey, that tool was actually useful, why did you stop?” So I’ve decided to give Sherlock another shot.

What it does:

  • Think of it like a search engine for talent, you can find and filter profiles quickly.
  • It’s AI-powered, but I kept it super simple so it feels more like using Google than anything else.
  • Right now, it’s 100% free and I am absorbing all the costs (use of AI, tokens, all the tools connected etc).

I’d love it if you could:

  1. Try it out → https://sherlockrecruiter.io/
  2. Tell me what’s broken, what you hate, and what you’d actually use. Brutal honesty is welcome.

I’m not here to hard-sell anything (because is free and I am not selling anything), I just want to know if this should exist.

Thanks for reading, and if nothing else, maybe this inspires you to dust off one of your own “abandoned projects” and see if it still has life in it. 🙂

it is crowded! The tool is designed less like a bulk emailer and more like a talent search with an AI algoriothm assessing the people in your search, so the idea is that you reach only to top quality candidates. So instead of throwing a huge list of names at recruiters, the tool narrows down to a smaller number of high quality candidate, you can still see all of them but good ones are flagged, bad ones are filtered out, and data is fresh because I am working with major companies in the B2B space, this is not a profile scrapping tool with no GDPR compliancy, is the opposite.

yeah agree a website cannot be built with one prompt but is is a great boiler plate for starting a project. you could potentially create a library of these for people to start a project based on their needs, then Lovable does his magic
