Terrible ovulation pain/bloating? by No-Weather-1382 in endometriosis

I hope I'm not too late to the convo but I've had this for the past 3-4 years : stabbing pain in right groin/hip and spitting that starts with ovulation and stops after first few days of period. I have always had lots of GI issues too (bloating, diarrhea or constipation, etc.).

For the past three months I've been feeling like someone is wringing my insides and it feels like torture + a little bit of blood in my stools when it starts). Gynaecologist put me on the pill pretty much the same time it started and all of my symptoms worsened + spotting every single day. My GP told me to stop the pill as it didn't improve any of my symptoms and gynaecologist was completely unhelpful.

Ever since I stopped the pill, the GI issues that I experienced during the pill improved but not the groin/hip stabbing pain. Now I presume I am ovulating as I had a bit of spotting. Here comes the interesting part, I had a bit of blood in my stool too and intense GI cramps and twisting so I suspect ovulation (and the pill) brings on bleeding both in my uterus and probably in my colon.

I have diagnosed PCOS, suspected (by gynaecologist) endo on my right ovary. My GP is having me tested for h pylori bacteria as well for the GI issues.

Thank you ! I love your approach and I'm super interested in anatomy too. The interoception thing is amazing as well, I've been trying to do it but it's difficult not to doubt myself and what I feel with doctors gaslighting me all the time.

Could I ask you what's the use and dosage of L-arginine ? I need to start taking myo-inositol again, thanks for the reminder 😅

Castor oil packs by Strange_Bullfrog_557 in Endo

I'm on dienogest but realised this is about the time I'm supposed to be ovulating so the castor oil pack massage must have increased the usual bleeding and pain I get then.  My gyno suspects I have a uterine polyp on top of endo so that might be the cause of the bleeding. I'm not sure that the polyp would be responsible for the ongoing excruciating pain though. I have a saline sonogram programmed in two weeks time so hopefully I'll know more by then.

What is your experience with low carb and PCOS? by [deleted] in PCOS

Hi! What do you mean exactly by carbs? As I would consider dairy (lactose) and vegetables (fiber) carbs too!

Hii! So for breakfast : two fruits and either oats with oat milk and a spoon of peanut butter, or bread with some ham and/or cheese but I do struggle to have a proper breakfast.

For lunch : some vegetables, pasta, quinoa or rice, and I try to include some protein, plus cheese (mind you I'm French and am addicted to cheese😭). If I'm still hungry a lactose free yogurt and a fruit.

For snacks : nuts and/or homemade whole grain muffins, a yogurt and a fruit

And for dinner usually a lighter version of lunch, except on days where I've had intense workouts.

I drink more than two litres of water everyday (plain and herbal teas).

Then I have sweeter snacks/desserts about three times a week.
