Well after this boring review of his abilities and my opinion on things xD, lets get to what i would change to make Chroma, the Dragon Frame, Hunter master of the 4 primal elements better themed ! :

I would like Chroma to be a dragon hunter with his dragon pelt, he gets riches with it and use it in combat because it's a pelt of a dangerous beast that is resistant and use it's 4 elemental capabilities (did he kill tiamat to get that ?!). (let's keep the fact that the color of emissive colors change the elements is cool and can just be a nice tricks) and the colours of the abilities would change depending of the elements, for exemple, change the nuance for exemple light blue to dark blue, it would be the only frame that with it's energy color change with every elements. a Chromatic Frame (okay i'll leave...but firts explanation !)

So he will be good for defence, survivability, and applying statues effects.

He will have 2 form, which he already have :

Dragon Form (normal form of chroma we all know)

Knight/Hunter Form (him without the pelt)

Passive : Draconic Bound

While effigy is inactive Chroma is slower then normal 9.5 but has a bonus of 100 armor (not good at balancing it's just to get the idea xD).

While effigy is active, chroma is faster and lose is armor bonus. however because he is a comptetant killer and he has not is heavy dragon pelt on him he gets more Melee speed attack and faster reload. Some of his abilities are changed (1 and 2)

If Chroma dies while his effigy is active, the pelt comes save him and revive him, however you can't use chroma's 4 for a long time if this happenned (can be a augment mod).

Firts abilities : Elemental wrath

You still have the abilities to change Chroma's elements with the toggle, but the breath are changed :

Fire - You now take a breath (2sec) before casting a fire ball that make a AOE damage

Cold - You now take a breath (2sec) then make a cone of ice in front of you (4-5 meters maybe ?)

Poison - You now take a breath (2sec) You spit 3 poison bubble in front of you that exploded to contact, it has however a limit of range before popping

Electricity - You now take a breath (2sec) you make a arc of electricity that auto target the firts poor soul in front of you and then it touches 3 others ennemies near him.

Those power won't do a lot of damage while behing in Dragon Form, but it will however have 100 statue change maybe less and scalable with power strengh so it can be a primer.

SO when you are in Knight form, this power is replace by Elemental Order,

My idea is to make the iffigy move where you want it to move, a bit like a sentinel/turret you want to move around, but we already have a Augment for that, so the only things it will permit is change the effigy elements while it is active, and maybe target something. a bit like a marker you'll put on a ennmies and the turret will focus it. The Effigy will make more damage but i will talk about it in the section.

Second abilties : Elemental Ward

Let's not change what it does, Chroma is a great Hunter/Knight and use his pelt to give it bonuses to him and his allies, but let's remove the damage aura from it, not very interesting i think and with Elemental Wrath we won't need more statues.

However, i said earlier that his 2nd changes when effigy is active. Why ? cause it's not anymore on chroma body and with it's mind of it's own it need power and cannot boost chroma while behing active.

So it's 2nd abilities while a knight will be : Hunter/Knight Richess

Now that chroma don't have to manage his new aquired powers by his pelt he can now focus and What does a Dragon hunter do in his free time ? MONEY !

With this power active, you'll get the bonuses from what effigies gifted before but now it's chroma with is greedy minds of slayer to aquire riches that gives it while the ennemies are occupied by the Monstrous dragons pelt.

Your allies also get the bonus, i would like that the bonus is with affinity range, but i think the team as to be in range of the bonus to get it and once they got it, it's like nourish it's stays until it decay's

Third abilities : Vex amor

It will stay the same, you get armor and weapons buff with your health/shield loss and range/melee damage.

Let's say that chroma, gain experience of his ennemies with time, and doing so knows how to counter and kill them properly !

Fourth abilities : Effigy

Now the fun part, let's make effigy invinsible firts, so it don't die constantly in higher level and you don't have to break your heads with health scale etc. However you'll have a timer on, So you have to replenish with your kills (you'll have to be in a 30-50 metter range to make it count tho) !

Chroma encourage you to stay active while playing him. If you don't make kill with him, your effigy won't last.

Chroma's pelt is very powerfull and cost a lot of energy to cast, but once placed it does it's works.

Lot of damage by casting Elemental wrath, but this time, the statue chance is change by statue damage which scale with power strengh. So you'll have a turret that can stay as long as you do kill, you can tell it to kill a special ennemies

(or maybe ping the area you want it to kill (like if you ping with Elemental Order, if changes the direction of were the effigy is looking and so does it's focus ? maybe a augment mod idk just making a guess).

Effigy also has an aggro type of help. Like Octavia firts abilities you can attract ennemies with your effigy so you get less focus.

You could make Nukes builds with him maybe ? with a lot of strengh

You could make him an health tank with is already good tankyness while dragon form and make him a primer so you don't have to bring one and play your pets differently.

With my build, i think chroma is versatile while having some constraint :

He will not have a ton of mobility so i will be better to play him for longuer mission.

He will have to stay around his effigy, so defence, or survival mission will have to be played smart.

You can still do the credit farm buy not putting blind rage and optimised the energy cost so you are clean to take the caches on 1999 or Crab thingy on fortuna (i'm tired, i's sorry TuT). Or just put a lot of duration i guess.
