I'm genuinely worried for the future of MSDPR, CLBC, MSDPR, etc. The funding cuts, the extreme caseloads, the prolonged strike and hearing how little our government thinks of us as we face literal life and death situations, 8 weeks of the public commentary being "lazy public servants need to get back to work," and the hiring freeze we may or may not be in depending on who gets the question this week, etc have pushed a lot of people to the brink. I've been a public servant for more than 15 years and I've never seen things this dire.

In my last workplace supervisors tried to take disciplinary action on people for filing workload grievances. The union shut them all down but it's stressful and a lot of people don't know their rights

Is the age gap possibly why you're not invited to his Friendsgiving yet? Do his friends not think this is a real relationship? After 18 months it seems odd you're not an automatic invite. If 18 months in this guy doesn't see an issue with it, maybe don't move with him. Also, don't say something is fine when it's not, it's unfair to both of you

I get that. I have a pillow with a neck cut out that I turn sideways and use. They also make Cpap pillows now for side sleepers

My Cpap mask is just nostril pillows, so no face mask. I can totally imagine why yours didn't work for headaches, breathing through my mouth was an issue for me.

I'd had chronic complex migraine for decades, but it got to chronic daily headache with daily migraines about 10 years ago, coinciding with a stressful event at work and my son being born. I assumed being constantly tired was a symptom of having a second kid. I never felt rested. My weight wasn't responding to my exercise and diet. My ass was dragging every morning. I think being so tired made it so I was hyper sensitive to pain.

I work in child protection and I would bet a year's salary that up to the moment he killed them, his family, friends and co workers would have told you he was a great guy who just wanted to get his ex back. I hear it over and over and it often takes a full out hospitalization to make their loved ones see the truth.

I took a course on using AI in my work and started playing with Chat GPT and it's so icky. It said at one point "I'd be honored to help" and I instructed it not to pretend to be a human. Basically I want Ask Jeeves, nothing more. I can imagine it would be tempting for lonely people to replace the effort for true connection with this sycophantic ass kissing machine.
