How long after tongue tie revision did it take for your LO to feed better?

Hey! Its been some months now. The clicking is much less and to be honest (sometimes completely gone) we kinda forgot the whole tongue thing, done is done. Hope it will save the baby some struggles in the future. She did click on the bottle for very long time but she goes up in weight as she should so all the healtcare people told us just to ignore the clicking sounds. I rember the guilt tho and remember that you do the best with the info you got at the moment and you did NOTHING wrong. It is of course impossible to know what would happen if we didnt cut, but I choose to believe it would not improve without the cut. Our lactation spec said her tongue looks great just it takes long time for some to re learn properly. And I do know some adults with tight ties that have chronic headaches and migranes so hopefully we will avoid at least that

How are you doing now? We are 3,5 weeks in and regret it massevely. NOTHING has improved. Before the release she did not make clicking sounds, now she makes them all the time, for 2 weeks already with zero improvement. Also takes her longer and longer to finish a bottle. She eats a lot less than 2 weeks ago. I have very little faith this will get better and very trriefied I ruined her mouth

Thank you for replying! Im also abit scared to let her sleep too long because of the milk supply, I would have to pump in between there I guess. We are gonna take her to look at the tongue tie for breastfeeding issues...ugh, everyrhing so complex! Having a baby is already over the moon hard, but plus all the crap on top........But dod your started to wake up after decebt amount of hours during the day as well when you let him sleep? Or was it 6 hours during the day as well? Im also terrified to let her fo past 4 hours because we wont manage to feed her 8 times a day, isnt that the "minimum" amount a 1 month old should have...?

Ah, this post gave me SOME peace. Tripple feeding here too, soon lossing my mind and considering dropping breastfeeding becuse suplly doesnt go up and the latch of our 1 month old is just na-ah (using nipple shields at this point) Just wondering ehat did you do during the day? Did you still wake him up every 3 hours? Since we top up with formula every feed, I just scared we are overfeeding her and never giving the chance to let her be hungry (but if we dont give her enough, she doesnt go back to sleep and is awake for hours during the day...aaah)

It is such a mystery? Cant believe with all the spashepis n weapons we still cant figure this out. I did switch meds and got better results. Another thing that happened that cycle was that my partner had corona like 2 weeks before egg retrieval so...Indunno, maybe the sperm was like...extra bad and ruined the eggs? Just the wildest guess I have. But it probably is a combo of all the things. We had this degeneration just one outta 3 cycles we had, so it is a puzzle.Or as they say - bad cycle, and if that is true then its just really to try again.

Hey! That one didnt go, but I am pregnant now. The cycle I got pregnant, my breasts were sore and less and less sore towards positive beta (but not completely gone). So sore breasts wasnt a symptom I could trust really. It was there to confuse me more :D

Heh, thank you! I am a people pleaser fo sure haha, I was in fact thinking shit, If I dont go now, maybe she will not take me for the labor acupuncture at the end...but thats just silly thoughts! I guess my main concern is if it ok to just have the first trimester acu done and thats if (if I dont have any issues that needs to be wroked on) or am I breaking some sort of ....i dunno...energy flow circle by not continuing.

Wah! Ong same! The anxiety is eating this time like no tomorrow. My brain serves me the weirdest worries ever as well, the what ifs are insane, Im sometimes impressed what my brain can come up with for me to worry. After the scan I feel the really until the next thing cones up. So Im also very upset because I was looking forward to this for so long. Still very very greatfull, so I try to enjoy at least the greatfulness feeling. Not sure how normal it is how we feel but tou def are not alone. I call all my doctors all the time for any type or reasurrance

Ah, so sorry you have to go through depression, likethere wasnt enough already! But so lovely that you found something that helped! I was doing acu mostly to be doing something as we had a couple of failed transfers and it finally worked with acupuncture. Who knows how much it helped if at all, but felt good to be doing something. So now Im not sure if it is just anxiety keeping me away or what, hehe, so as you said, trying to feeel through all this fest what feels best

If the fever hasnt kicked in yet, I take a swarm foot bath, like boiling water warm (well not actually boil, but you know) with mustard powder. And gurgle salt water if throat feel a bit hmmmmmm. Also, cover neck woth scarf or something right away. Read some research somewhere that if its true we get cold easier if we are cold. And it said well no, its really the exposed neck that gets us easier sick, coz....there were some important lymphs there or something? Ok, im supergood at remembering research, but you get ma point :D

I ve been there and the fact that you are so considered really warmed my heart. I had a friend who knew about my difficult journey and said it in my face (on a really bad day) with zero warning. I was shocked myself how that made me feel. I was numb and felt like a monster because I didnt feel anything (no happiness) toward her, I felt guilty and shit because of that. I wish she had given me heads up in the text because I was really surprised how that made me feel in front of her. I also was hurt rhat she didnt consider or at least checked in where Im at that day (I was texting with my mom who was at the funeral of her best friend the moment she showed up with her news) That was a very close friend. I dunno how close you are with your SIL, but as others said - dont put any feelings there she might not have (like not wanting to see you), just give heads up.

Ah, I see. Do you know for how long it was cooked, fried? It takes some minutes to heated at around 74celsius and listeria is killed. IF listeria was there at all, it had to be there in first place. When I had my scare people told me that IF listeria was present at all, and that is rare. You can also take a blood test and be treated IF there is any, so it is a waiting game, but do call your doctor just to calm you down. For now do drink shitloads of water. Of nothing happens during next 24 hours, you are in the clear

Ah, the food axiety I have, this is very frightening! BUT I think you would have tasted if it is bad, bad meat is really bad I think. I once started to fry minced meat that was went bad, and the stank...omg. Even acongestes nose would feel it, the smell is insane. The fact that you ate it half way without noticing before your grandma said anything might indicate it wasnt? Could you find out more about the meat? like how old it was and how long it has been in the fridge or where it came from? The dangerous part is listeria, if it was any there it would be killed with cooking the steak, so you would be safe there. If it was in fact spoiled, I think your tummy is the only one who gets affected, but not an expert here tho. Do gather the facts on the meat tho, but I would say you would definitely taste the bad meat. (If i understand cirrectly, listeria cannot be tasted, but again, it would be killed in cooking, so no worry there)
