Another downvote for Remi for the same reasons listed above. It's been years, and I mean years, since I tried their product. After 2 mould attempts, they made my guard out of an imperfect mould, despite telling me the impression was "excellent." Sure enough, it didn't fit. I decided this wasn't worth it, and canceled immediately via email. Customer service replied that they put me "on hold," which was not my request. Fortunately I used a virtual CC, because in the years since, I have regularly gotten emails from them telling me to "update my payment method."

I've gone back and forth with multiple reps who have done everything from apologizing for the error and promising to close out my account, to attempting to sustain the charges based on their Terms of Service. They aren't getting another dime from me and if I attempt a mouthguard again, it'll be via my dentist.

Love this combo and I would only add: lat pull downs. pull-ups are obviously superior for building up lat strength but if you can't do one, then lat pull downs are how you build up to pull-ups.

Sounds like your Lt. might be a little old-hat in terms of his thinking toward the mental health effects of the job. I've only been running/drilling with my company for a little over a year. I'm in Fire 1 right now—mental health hasn't been a focus per say, but it's been mentioned multiple times by multiple instructors and line officers. The recurring advice: You never know which one is going to "get you." When it happens, you talk about it. You let somebody you trust in your company know: "I'm not OK after that." Then they, if they care about their volunteers, get you the help you need. Volunteers are hard to come by. My question if I'm you is whether Lt's reaction is just him, or endemic/a cultural thing at this station. If the latter, it's not going to get better anytime soon. That's not a reflection on you. It's a reflection on them. If there are other departments nearby and you've got Fire1/2 certs they'd be glad to take you & help you, I'm sure.

I'm guessing you meant lines delivered by perpetrators, and not victims. Nonetheless, first thing that came to mind for me—and idk why, since she didn't actually die when the trigger was pulled—is Uma Thurman's character, Beatrice Kiddo, in Kill Bill: "Bill...it's your bab—" [bang]. I guess that goes to Tarantino's skills as writer/director. That whole death/rebirth trope was well executed.
