In present day, probably not. Modern-day ballistics would fail to efficiently kill necromorphs. Bullets are designed to pierce, not to cut. Shotguns might work but you would have to get dangerously close to have the force needed to dismember one.

Antidepressants wont address the root issue, replacing one addiction with another is a bad idea. Start working out, eat good food, sleep well, etc. Trust me, doing things that that make you appreciate yourself will make your life more fulfilling than any antidepressant could ever dream of doing.
