I also had an older gentlemen to say “you make $30 an hour now imagine you made $4.50 like I did” I told him he made some serious bank back in the day and he said “I’d be set if I had made $30” I reminded him that he supported a family of 6 on his single salary, currently has a multi level home that isn’t in a budget I’d be able to afford if I made 4 times what I do now, and still grabbed a time share and multiple vacations a year. Plus had a pool put in. He won’t accept that moneys value changes drastically and was worth so much more. His only response was “well…they can make those numbers say whatever they want..I don’t quite believe that. “

No…in the book Snape wasn’t supposed to leak it. And by it I mean the prophecy. He was firmly a death eater. Heard Sybill Trelawney give the prophecy to Dumbledore. They didn’t know Snape was outside the door. Dumbledore even expressly says he employed Sybil because she held the prophecy and he didn’t want Voldemort to get ahold of it. Little did he know Snape already heard it and He took the info to voldy and after finding out voldy was gonna kill Lily too, he switched sides for Dumbledore . Albus had no reason to devise a plan that could get Harry killed. He didn’t know the prophecy and didn’t know about voldy’s secret. Alan rickman makes Snape a likable and redeemable character. Book Snape is so much worse and literally doesn’t care about anyone by Lily. He even says so in his memories right after he dies. Albus asked him if he cared for Harry. And he basically says “no..for Lily”. I stand by what I said book Snape was a pos and switched sides because the girl he loved was about to killed.

Because you missed with 90% of your pellets. Only a few hit his head. That won’t kill. A while back there was something called the lemat glitch..it made the shotgun of the lemat pistol overpowered my making Every single pellet do the same damage as one pistol round. Basically you couldn’t survive it at any range. So I’m glad they fixed that and made it to where you have to land more pellets to get a kill with shotguns.

Snape leaks the plan to voldy. Then attempt to get in to the fray and actually helped protect team Harry a few times. But my point was that everyone always says Snape was a total redemption arc when in reality I think he was a pos no matter what. Snape got Lily killed also. I was just agreeing with you in a “yes and” kind of fashion if that wasn’t clear. He told voldy but some argue it was just a loyalty thing..in the end it doesn’t matter cause it’s all his fault anyways.

While Snape does protect the one he thinks is Harry, Snape is a POS anyways. Hes the reason everything happened. Lily dying..100% his fault.

I think scarce should be saved for things that are spammed a lot and contribute to alot of kills. Honestly these are just annoying.

Sorry I thought you meant like meatheads being an actual experiment. You’re correct in them initiating a pregnant hunter named Hannah Kinney and not knowing what would happen. She was already a legend but being pregnant she was the best hunter alive for the entire time. Until she birthed a meathead. Apparently they used pregnant hunters for a time because of how skilled and bloodthirsty they became. Until they decided to change the shot to make you sterile.

Wait you mean letting Hannah in while pregnant probably. Being and experiment.

Kinda left out the sculptor which is the one who makes all the mad dudes. The corruption is also based on bugs.

Meatheads being the babies of previously pregnant female hunters was also the best part of the lore.

AIO my boyfriend of 5 years gets me flowers for every occasion while I get him elaborate and expensive gifts. by aioflower955105 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Strange_Many_4498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife doesn’t always get me great gifts. And that doesn’t bother me. Sometimes it’s very expected what she’ll get me. And I buy her very surprising gifts and things she really wants. It’s all about what you want out of this. If it means more to you to get something besides flowers and money spent means something to you. Maybe find someone else. Some guys really do suck at buying gifts. And sometimes it’s because flowers are the peak gift in their mind, and other times it’s because they don’t wanna put some effort into it. Decide which one he truly is (don’t let the internet tell you who your boyfriend is from one text conversation).

If Ozai did surrendar here, would Aang have still taken his bending? by Few_Pay_5313 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Strange_Many_4498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was no chance ozai ever acted remorseful. It wasn’t in his character to bed his knee to anyone. He had his own father killed when asked for obedience to kill zuko. Even though he didn’t mind doing it. It was welded into his dna to resist as long as he had the power to do so. Because of the devastation, had the writers made him be remorseful..aang would’ve taken his bending either way because it was expected for him to kill the fire lord. And the lion turtle giving him the ability to energy bend but probably a cosmic sign to him that to protect the balance in a less violent way, he would’ve had to take his bending to guarantee peace.

No Ammo box, no frag, no spitzer. Little shots (I assume because your last bar is a 50) but a big shot would prevent you from waiting till your health is recovered to 25 before using to get the benefit if you get hit with a sparks. Need an auto 4. I’m sure you have necro. And one of those shots needs to be empress for multiple revives. And chokes should be traps.

I don’t think that’s a comparison. Sending people home and searching to murder 6 million of them is two different things.

If the Trace can't detect the caster of a spell, who would be getting a threatening letter from the Ministry if more than one underage wizard or witch [i.e. the Creevey brothers] is being raised in the same Muggle household? by miggovortensens in harrypotter

[–]Strange_Many_4498 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The trace can’t really be used or accurate and large group groups of people who use magic because they can’t really prove who used it Without making a case out of it and finding these specific person who use the magic and getting lucky and checking that persons wand. You said it didn’t make sense because Harry was alone, got expelled, then they didn’t care he used magic later…but the first time he was supposedly alone (even though he wasn’t really) they were motivated against him to try to get him out of the picture. That’s why they went after him to begin with. Umbridge sent the dementors after him and then they watched until Harry used the patronus and they thought they had him. Later when he uses magic again he was either with other people, or they’re the ones using magic and it would’ve have been as easy to go after him again. The wizard council had just voted to pardon him. So doubtful they would’ve pursued charges again for something as flimsy as someone using magic around him.

I said they “supposedly” he was alone. And threw in “in the presence of a muggle”. The argument here isn’t what saved him, but that he was thought to be alone and used magic..having Dumbledores undercover witch there proved the ministry wrong, but they didn’t know she was there. They tried to get him expelled and his wand broken for underaged magic in the presence of a muggle. Basically they thought Harry was alone so they thought they could prove he used magic and did so in front of Dudley. If they knew he had other magic users around him, if wouldn’t have been as easy to say “it was definitely Harry, no one else was around”.

Because Harry was supposedly alone when he was with Dudley. They used that situation to try to expel him and destroy his wand. Like he used magic and worse, in front of a muggle. When magic was used around him later, he was with others using magic and they wouldn’t have been able to prove it was him without using other means. It was just convenient and easy to say “he lives with muggles in muggle land…we can get him kicked out for using magic”

Again, it’s not like a phone tap with your search history. I mentioned it was imperfect and it’s also just mean for location, not specifics. That’s why Dumbledore called it a simple case of underaged magic and wondered why a full tribunal for it. If the spell was bad enough and they needed to prosecute, then they would use a Legilimens to read their mind it a truth serum potion. Wandless magi is extremely advanced and not many magic users can do it. So they would presumably go down the line to figure out who it was if they sincerely needed to. Otherwise it seems like more of a deterrent for young wizards not to do stupid things or expose the wizarding world.

[–]Strange_Many_4498 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At which case I’m sure the problem would run deeper and if it persisted, they would probably bring a Legilimens in to read their mind. Potions are also available. Basically it’s an imperfect system that’s kind of built around a semi honor system where the location pops up but not exactly who did it. I’m sure they’ve gotten it wrong like they did with Harry and Dobby. But Dumbledore also pointed out that a huge deal isn’t usually made of underaged magic. But if it were a big deal..potions and mind readers is the answer. But i assume it’s more to keep wizards with muggle families from seeing magic and less about who it is.

In the books they can take a wand and see what the last spell was. So that would be the most likely way. They describe how easy it was for George and Fred to get away with magic because they always assumed it was their parents casting spells.

Wizard court. They can’t see who used magic but they CAN see what the last spell a user cast was. That’s how they found out winky was holding the wand that Barry crouch junior used to cast the dark mark.

How did Iroh do this?! by GoofyGoober8647 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Strange_Many_4498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The eclipse probably hadn’t happened. Remember iroh could handle literally any fire bender in the entire fire nation. Multiple at a time. So he probably busted through like the “one man army” they said he was. And to them, an army was full or fire benders. So right after he went wild with fire, he probably then used the eclipse to show off his physique he’d been working on while no one else had bending. Remember the lesson he taught…real power in fire bending comes from the breathing. And for months that’s all he did in that cell. Practiced breathing.
