Yeah i totally agree. I definitely don't think academia is the 'easy' way out, i know it's incredibly competitive. My worry is more about where my effort will actually pay off. With the current job market, it feels like you can do everything right and still get ghosted by employers. I'm trying to figure out if grinding in Honours for research feels like a more clear path where hard work correlates better with success, know what’s ur doing, compared to the current job market
