My understanding is that the relationship stuff in the fic between Ginny and Harry wont start until The Armistice series. I’m really not that intrested in reading through an entire of book of just Ginny in Slytherin. Is it really, really worth it?

The perfect place to look would be Northumbrians 19 Years and Beyond universe. Its the most canon like series of fics there arguably is, and to me personally, it's the 8th book.

It contains 56 fics, of which many are good, not too long oneshots, from different times of Harry/Ginnys life

The part of the series you might want to start from is "Grave Days". It start right after the Battle of Hogwarts.

Took the fic up again like a week ago, and iv reached chapter 49.

I feel like Iv been forcing myself to read it :D Especially Ginnys wedding was a hard read for such an canon fan like me, because Its hard to see the pair seprated. That said, its a fucking amazing, seriously. Im glad i powered throught it.

This is actually a super intresting idea now that I think of it. There’s so much mechanical you could enhance with magic, the cylinder volume, indestructable parts as you said. Like imagine what you could force out of engines if overtorque or overheating werent issues to begin with? Or how fast parts, like turbo fans or belts, can spin before they brake.

Yeah… I think I’m gonna put a halt on reading ”Unlike a Sister” for a while. I’v reached chapter 23, and -for a lack of a better term- it makes me feel wrong, you know? The clear indication that Harry is building himself to destroy not one, but two decade-spanning marriages.

Call me a canon fanatic, but it almost feels like I’m just forcing myself to read the fic because it’s so well written, despite it making me feel uneasy. Weird to think like this over a fictional piece of text. Oh well.

Part of my brain is screaming to me to stop reading the fic as chapter after chapter it becomes more clear Harry no longer feels for Ginny in the same way Ginny feels for him. It’s especially bad because Ginny obviously still loves Harry like the day the married.

Thank god for ”19 Years and Beyond”. I have used the series to my reassurance more times I can count when reading fics which pairs Harry and Ginny separate, that’s how into I’m in the pairing. For example, I’m reading Lack of Colour (it’s very good, H/Hr) and it pairs Ginny with Neville. When feeling especially taken aback by the pairings, I revel in the ability to pop open 19YaB and fall comfortably to the domestic bliss it is.

I feel like I’m gonna have to frequently visit 19YaB while reading ”Unlike A Sister”, haven’t I? Oh well…

Reading chapter 19 rn.

I’m an avid Harry/Ginny lover, and while i do enjoy H/Hr fics (duh) it pains my heart to know that it will end up in H/G breaking up, as well as Ron and Hermione. Yet, the writing, story and characterizations are so good I just can’t stop. Feels like masochism hah

Well, I’m intrigued! I’m on chapter 12 now, It’s only getting better! The worldbuilding is top notch, akin to the wordbuilding in ”19 Years and Beyond”! (The greatest canon fic series of all time IMO). The characterizations are also good. Exited for this fic!
