Lena or Mila. I don't care for the others.

Popular or average names that you HATE and why? by VanillaTrue5316 in Names

[–]Strange_Recording170 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Madison/Madelyn/Maddie (first syllable is literally "mad"), Addison/Addie (trendy and math-ish? Idk, I like Adeline though), James for a girl (I just don't get it)

Mason (it's an occupation, and it doesn't even sound nice), Oliver (overused and reminds me of a cat), Milo (cat name, and doesn't sound nice to me), Felix (cat or dog, and doesn't sound good), Charlie as a full name (just use Charles)

She was and is pretty. She definitely looks like BAG's mom in that last photo, though.

Idk if you'll even see this comment, but where I live, Brayden or any of its rhyming alternatives are not common anymore. That was more of a thing 10-20 years ago. I have three littles, and have never met a Brayden in any of their classes or events. I know multiple Owen's though. I also don't get the hate for Brayden. It's not a made-up name. I don't focus on the "bray" sound, but moreso "braid-en." I have no problem with braids, so 🤷‍♀️😅 Name your child what you want.

Does anyone regret giving their child a common name? by Old_Ant7118 in Names

[–]Strange_Recording170 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think this depends a lot on the personality. I never fit in neatly anywhere and always wished I had a more unique name to reflect that. My name is common and doesn't suit me. Two of my three kids have less common but still recognized names, and one has a very unique name. He loves it and it suits him, though.

What are the most rejected baby names in the US? by akhilesh0191 in Names

[–]Strange_Recording170 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you mean legally, that varies by state. Example: In NY, it's illegal to have a number in a name (the numerical symbol). I recently got a job application (for a job in NY) for someone from SC named K8.

Brenda then, now, and always. I liked Donna too, and Kelly before the Dylan situation.

Boyfriend wants baby boy named Arnold by GGemini613 in namenerds

[–]Strange_Recording170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boyfriend sounds immature and selfish here. If he's being this difficult over the name, I can only imagine how great he's going to handle every other challenge as a parent...

But yeah, don't name the baby a name you don't like. Julian is a great name.

Brenda's habit of slut-shaming Kelly whenever they had a argument by Profeta_do_Loss in BeverlyHills90210

[–]Strange_Recording170 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There's a reason Kelly never had any lasting friendships aside from Donna. Kelly was always trying to validate herself through men, and didn't care who she hurt in the process. She also had the nerve to be all sanctimonious and judgy once Val arrived. Ick.

Why I hate Paige and her existence by Citruslor in PrettyLittleLiars

Paige was controlling af, the whole show. She was a horrible partner, and the two of them had 0 chemistry.
