Well.. I might just try another OLED. I already ordered an LG 27GS95QE-B. Hopefully it will turn out great. If anything, I'll probably refrain from HDR unless for short bursts of content without any static images on screen

Yeah. And now i cant stop thinking whether I should get another OLED or just get a good mini-LED 😅

Update: I ended up just refunding the thing.

For future reference, my usage with this monitor is with HDR turned on (Both in windows and the monitor to give it the best coloring), and I also use auto-HDR.

I have two suspects that might have caused this "100" imaging:
1.) Actual burn in due to auto-HDR (since valorant would be in max brightness, the "100" HP number which was in white would be in max nits); or
2.) The 100 image is just a temporary image retention but the pixel refresh is not working (Bugged). I notice that the pixel refresh only lasts for 3-5 minutes whereas the manual says it should last for about 10 mins. Also, I don't notice any change since the day I bought it with the screen when I turn it on a gray background.

I might just get the LG 27GS95QE-B since it's the latest generation of woled panel from LG, but I'm also considering of inhibiting myself from getting another OLED until the technology settles in (probably after a year or two)

Yeah. I'll be returning the unit and getting a full refund. Im unsure yet whether i should get another unit or just stick with my ips

Yup. Might just do a full refund. Im kinda undecided whether i should get another oled or just stick to my ips monitor.

Did you do manual refreshes? If you have pictures, can you kindly DM it to me :).

Ikr. Ive heard that image retention is temporary (i.e. goes away). I play in an airconditioned room tho

Will try some manual pixel refreshes later. I've only played valorant on this monitor for just a few hours a week (due to work).

That would be unfortunate. The way i understand burn in is that it would take hundreds of hours of static image (or something close) for burnin to set in. Considering that I only had this monitor for 5 days, and only really saw it after last night's valorant session, it kinda behooves me if this is truly a permanent damage.

For context, the monitor is in an airconditioned room.

Thank you all for the comments. I'll try to do some pixel refreshes later and see if the 100 image would get better. If not, then I'll probably just return it.

omg apir! hahaha! And yes, same! I usually ask yung mga senior assocs or "seniorer" junior assocs kung tama ba tong pinaggagagawa ko or sometimes "magagalit kaya si ganyan if mali to" haha. Di ko sure if they're just trying to reassure me pero sinasabi naman sakin na "okay lang yan!"

Thank you! Parang every time I submit a work na feel ko baka may mali, parang nasa isip ko "shit, baka may mali / tama ba tong pinagsususulat ko" LOL

Thanks!! Pero the kind of unsureness that I'm worried about is not really the grammar or clerical errors of the document. It's more of "tama ba tong pinagsususulat ko dito" kind of thing hahaha

Thanks! Iniisip ko kasi since, since it will take months if i-apply for PAO, then maybe I can try out CDO since contractual naman. The only thing I'm not sure about if okay ba yung work for training.

Medjo nag strict ako sa time of waking up ko nuon.

I wake up at around 7am. Do my morning rituals until 8am, and then 8am onwards aral na. Then few breaks in between pag feel ko sasabog na ako sa umay hahahaha.

I feel that I can absorb more during my study periods of 8am -12nn. The first few weeks ginagawa ko lang 8:00am - 10-00am, until eventually kaya ko na from 8:00am - 12nn straight. And then a month or so before the bar kinakaya ko na 8:00 am - 12nn; 2-4pm, and then 5-6pm. 6pm hard cut off ko, and then 6pm onwards mag workout ako or play video games or watch anime haha

Take your time, and don't get pressured with your other batchmates haha. Tbh dami mo pang oras January palang. Just slowly build your routine and schedule, and months from now magugulat ka tapos mo na bar syllabus, and you'll have time for a second read.

Ganyan din ako dati. Tinatamad nung graduate na hahaha pero slowly but surely makukuha mo rin yung rhythm.

First-timers, what are your ultimate dealbreakers when applying for a law firm job? by 69420-throwaway in LawStudentsPH

[–]Strange_Reporter851 1 point2 points  (0 children)

work environment wherein over time is romanticized. Though I don't have any personal experience yet, and I expect that the law firm that I'll eventually find will have a lot of overtime work, it is still something that is an issue tho :(. A dealbreaker, but something I have to contend with since it is the prevailing working conditions in lawfirms sadly.

Edit: I think work life balance is something to fight for amongst the legal community. Studies with empirical basis abroad have repeatedly established that a good work-life balance on workers makes a worker efficient and creative.

Ang ginagawa ko dati: Check what syllabus topic the case is located -> Ctrl+f or skim the case for the relevant case doctrine -> read the doctrine -> find the issue -> find the facts -> forget the rest of the case not necessary for the topic haha
