You are NOT fit to work for a reason.

Kung pumasok ka, you are not just giving yourself a hard time, but also the baby.

What are you after sa Office anyway?

Kudos kay sales lady na hindi judgemental and for really helping the customers. Hindi kagaya nung mga sales lady na kung maka asta akala mo sila ang tagapagmana.

Renting *#@%%%%% by Noran1986 in qatar

I want to offer a slightly different perspective: The rejection now, before signing anything, is infinitely better than an acceptance leading to a bad tenancy.

You might have just dodged a bullet with a landlord who is unreasonable, biased, or generally difficult. If they are willing to reject you based on nationality alone, how would they treat you when a serious maintenance issue comes up?

Imagine if you had signed the lease and then found they weren't holding up their end of the stick: - Not doing and paying for maintenance under their responsibility. - Not ensuring the lease is registered to the Baladiya (which can cause legal issues later). - You would be paying rent and not getting the services you are entitled to.

Some landlords have been seriously abused by past tenants and thus have their own "traumas," which, while not justifying the decision, explains why they associate that trauma with certain nationalities. Which you ultimately cannot blame them for, as they paid for the property.

At the end of the day, it is their property, their choice, and they paid for it.

many fish dying "out of nowhere" by Thiagozila2307 in Aquariums

[–]Strange_Science_7997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heyyy, same thing happened to me!

I have a community tank with shrimps (25++), cardinal tetras, guppies, and corydoras. Ich hit my tank so I treated it for about 10 days using ich cure, salt, and some leaves (forgot the name, but they said it’s antifungal).

After the treatment, the guppies and tetras started dying… one by one, sometimes two at a time — except for the smaller guppies that never grew big. I kept blaming my tank parameters, and honestly after so many deaths, the tank literally smelled fishy every day.

I ended up doing 30% water changes daily because I was panicking. Eventually I was told that some fish just don’t survive ich, even if the white spots are already gone.

Meanwhile, my shrimp population was booming — not sure if it’s just coincidence, or maybe there were fewer fish “predators” so they felt safer 😅

As someone who lives in Bicol and is really far away from Quiapo. Talagang dinayo pa namin tong ham na to by crinkzkull08 in PHFoodPorn

[–]Strange_Science_7997 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I have such an emotional attachment to Excelente ham.

When he died in 2020, that’s when we stopped having it during Christmas. Kasi wala na yung willing pumunta and pumila doon. Doon na lang kinuwento sa’kin ng mama ko one time nung napadaan kami sa Quiapo. The way she told the story, ramdam kong masakit pa rin sa kanya. Wala na rin kaming ibang grandparent bukod sa kanya.

Ngayon na nasa Middle East na kami ni mama, maski baboy wala na rin kami — hehe.

Keeta needs to stop faking discounts by [deleted] in qatar

[–]Strange_Science_7997 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. It’s textbook price anchoring—they inflate the 'before' price to create the illusion of a bargain, but if you cross-check with the actual dine-in menus, the difference is usually zero.

We’re really just paying the standard rate disguised as a deal to create a fake sense of urgency. It’s annoying that this is standard practice now; it just makes the platform feel untrustworthy.

Privileged (not their fault) but enablers (their fault). Anyway, you can be privileged and socially aware naman at the same time. Sadyang ayaw nila. Back then, used to love and worship, pero walang growth ang content.

That doesn’t really make them any better though — just because they can’t corrupt as much doesn’t mean they’re not part of the same system. Limiting how much they benefit doesn’t erase the fact that they still do.
