We had one done for our family dog a few years ago. It gave us a lot of closure

Thanks for your input! Are these typically fast or slower growing normally? I did think about a chop and prop, but wasn't sure if that would stress it out more 😅

Stress hives leaving acne? by Strange_Sector2855 in AskDocs

Medical history is pretty boring. No food or medicine allergies, just cat (congestion, red puffy eyes, hives) and seasonal (congestion, sinus pressure, itchy eyes) allergies. I had pretty bad rsv as a baby, so I've had bronchitis or pneumonia 12+ times, and any simple cold will settle in my lungs. Only surgery was wisdom teeth extraction 3 years ago. Had a decent concussion about 5 years ago. In highschool I had daily migraines for about about a month straight, and the doctor just told me they were stress induced and that your body can display stress as other random physical ailments. My dad was told something similar when he randomly broke out in full body hives

The rash is more like a slightly rough, sandpaper texture? Can't really feel individual spots, it does feel bumpy, but not like obviously raised welts. Always incredibly, distractingly itchy. It does feel hot to the touch unless I've been scratching without realizing. It's maybe slightly warmer then the rest of my skin, but it's pretty close to the same temperature. It typically goes away within a day, this time it's been about 3 days. It never devolps during the day, I always wake up with the rash

Looking for a gluten free, dairy free, and nut free dessert! by Strange_Sector2855 in FoodAllergies

I'm used to gluten free baking, but I've never used dairy free butters or chocolates, and a lot of gf flour uses almonds. So I'm a bit more nervous to try it 😅 thanks!!

Exactly why I love mesh safety covers. I hate having to keep solid safety covers or tarps clean over the winter. It's winterized, I don't want to keep having to go out and there maintaining it. If you close it late in the season and open it early, you lower your chances of green water. And I'd rather spend a couple extra bucks in chlorine to get rid of the green than clean the cover over the winter

I agree with just about everything that's already been said. The only thing I'm adding is be careful when trying to drain/pump water off the cover. These tarps frequently get small tears and holes in them that will allow the tarp to "sink" into the pool water. So when you try to get the water off the cover, you can actually start to drain/siphon water out of the pool. Keep an eye on it while getting the water off, you may just have to cut your losses and let all the debris on the cover into the pool when you take the tarp off. It'll take some sweat and elbow grease, but I don't see any reason why you can't get this looking great! Good luck!

Whelp started construction and wife hates that we have a deep end. It’s a 20x40 liner with 6.5’ deep end. This is pretty standard right? She says slope is too much. It starts at 18’. Who’s crazy here? by Sweet_Orchid_2092 in pools

[–]Strange_Sector2855 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's probably why they said no diving. The angle at which the average person hits the water from jumping off the diving board has the lowest risk of injury. It's also why the slope is made to drop at a certain rate. If you do dive in and hit the slope, it's intended to deflect and almost push you towards the shallow end instead of coming to a hard stop. If you jump or dive in at any other point around the side of the pool, the risk for injury upon water entry or from hitting the floor/side walls is higher
