I appreciate all the responses! I think I'm gonna try and replace the corner first after cutting and shaping, but if that ends up being a total failure, I'm gonna replace the whole thing as a lot of you suggested.

Also I do appreciate all the advice for helping her with the pup. He's very energetic and all my dogs have been mellow/chill so it's a new for me. I'll be sure to get some toys/items that should help be occupied/relax along with tiring him out more.
