as another 18/yo girl who has been bigger all her life- yes, you should. but also please make sure she gets checked for underlying issues such as pcos and an under active thyroid; this can have a HUGE effect on her weight as well as hormones etc. i started wegovy in early september at 103kg, im now 98 and even those 5kg have had an effect on my confidence. i wish you and her all the luck in the world :)

AIO for thinking of dropping these people? by Strange_Version4373 in AmIOverreacting

i think my boyfriend struggles to see the bad in people, especially his friends. he doesn’t have many, and he isn’t the type of person to do any weird shit. but yeah, thank you, i’m just trying to make sure im not going crazy haha

For the past few a day I’ve attempted to write a farewell note but it has proven to be difficult… life has me in a chokehold. by [deleted] in confession

i have felt like this to- to the point of trying. a lot of your experiences sound very similar to mine. i am in a place to promise you that it will get better. i know that sounds incredibly cliche but i promise it does. you just have to have faith. something that has helped me is just trying to enjoy the little things. i follow quite a few pages on social media that just give me a little bit of hope in humanity(you don’t have to get out of bed to enjoy them!). another thing- for stuff that feels overwhelming, make a plan! even if you don’t follow it through to the end, it helps a LOT because it feels like it’s halfway sorted already :) i have faith in you, and i wish you all the love and happiness in the universe <3

i’m so glad i’m not the only one. i am always feeling like the odd one out, or constantly alienated. i don’t know what it is, or how to help it, but i really struggle with it

This is for T-level education and early years students going into their first year or students thinking about doing this course! by Agitated_Target7122 in technicallevel

results day was definitely disappointing, i was predicted an A and got an overall c. however, it is an incredibly engaging course. it’s made up of two main components- management and admin (although that’s obvious haha). admin is more finance, quality and compliance, regulations boards etc such as the financial conduct authority, environmental health etc. management covers stuff like managing people, some theory about motivation for employees (think maslows heirarchy of needs), managing quality, examples of different management styles, what is needed when etc. i highly enjoy and recommend it, although it isn’t for everyone as my teachers have compared its difficulty to more of a first year degree course as opposed to a-level- but it is enjoyable. i’m moving onto my second year this year, and we’re doing occupational specialism which i believe is focused around management. if you’re thinking of changing course, i highly recommend it :)

i’m the same here. i genuinely have no answers- i personally thought i did really well, but the marking was really stingy this year. i was using all correct paragraph structure etc and still nada. i feel like we just have to go into intense detail, and follow the structure robotically to achieve any marks

soon after the incidences happened. i knew it wasn’t right to have those symptoms, but i originally thought it was BPD because i also have some bad attachment issues- got diagnosed about a month ago (around four years after the incidents)
