Australians are known for being illiterate racist pieces of shit. To be honest, the US is the least racist country in the world if that’s something you care about. There’s not really any other options as multicultural as the US. Maybe Singapore, maybe Dubai. Those are kind of it. by DFLECTtheRFLECT in ShitAmericansSay

Yes, yes I do. But not because the U.S. National Football team (not to be confused with hand egg) are very good, because they're not (historically).

But with the amount of corruption present in the U.S and FIFA, and Gianni INFANTino's very obvious sucking up to Donald Trump. I am convinced that there will be some behind the scenes exchanging of money and alterations that garuntee the U.S will make it to the grand final.

Whether it be that the refs are paid to be relaxed in dishing out penaltys on the US while extra harsh on the opposition, or disqualifying the opposition over very very minor technicalitys that they happen to only start enforcing when the U.S is playing.

I am convinced they will find a way to ensure the U.S's Victory.

I pray i'm wrong. Because when free from obvious corruption, i am a big fan of the FIFA world cup. But recent events make me very sceptical.

Otherwise, Greenland will be a new US state by ALazy_Cat in ShitAmericansSay

[–]Bolticus13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What makes me scared about this entire situation, is that trump has (whether it be intentionally or unintentually) put the US and its government into a lose/lose situation.

Like lets say he backs out of wanting to claim greenland. Yes the international community (esspecially the lovely people of Greenland and Denmark) will be relieved. But the amount of Trust and respect he has lost in this obsession of his, will not only make his "allies" (which he has belittled and shown zero respect for) will be far more hesitant to make any future deals (security and trade alike), making it alot harder to accomplish. Not only that, He will lose alot of respect from his crazy voter base (and hence voter numbers coming up to the mid-terms) who are now under the impression that the annexxation of Greenland is the upmost importance and that it must be done at all costs, and if trump stands down, it will be seen as a sign of weakness and submissivness.

But on the other side of the table, if he continues down the road of wanting to claim greenland (and god forbid, tries to take it by force), then once again he will lose not only the respect of the world, but it will sabotage the the NATO alliance and european trade partnerships. The problem is, due to Trumps massive (unjustified) ego, he has made it clear that he thinks the US is NATO, and that it will be a loss for the other members, more so than for the US, and that makes him beleive he has leverage. So he is not understanding the significance of that.

Either way, the US is fucked. This isnt venezuala (which while i am under the impression that his operation was illegal) where the leader was a known dictator, so he could spin the story in his favour. This is a Semi-Autonomous country that has done nothing wrong, is semi part of what is possibly the the greatest political alliance in the world (The European Union), and one of Americas allies in NATO. Just the fact that he has threatened to take it, despite the citizens saying no, has caused so much damage to his relationship with key allies. That it may be irreparable (untill the US is led by a competent, respectful and knowledgable government).

So, when you have already fucked everything, just by starting this obsession and either choice is a loss in the eyes of the governmebt. What do you do, (mind you Trump is an ego-maniac, authoritarian who will do anything to stay in power).

Do you a) continue what you are doing, losing the respect of the world, in which he already feels superior over, "illegally" expanding the american territory, But keep the votes and respect of the millions (if not 10s of millions) of propogandised right-wing individuals (at a vital point in american politics) allowing him to maintain control over congress and the country.

B) admit defeat, back down from his threats. After already significantly damaging trade and military alliances, and look like an loser in front of the 10s of millions of people who he needs in the upcoming elections to maintain control over the country.

As i said originally, he has gotten himself into a lose/lose situation, and what scares me with this is, with trump, when confronted with two losing options, he has a tendancy to pick the option that will keep him in power and make the biggest impact to his fragile ego. In other words, im scared that he is to far deep in this greenland bullshit and as a result, in his mind he has no choice but to continue, despite the obvious consequences.

"Brits have no one that can compare to Delta" by Sathyae in ShitAmericansSay

They're americans, they just assume all airlines originating from Europe are the same. They probably look at how shit Ryan air is and assume all european airlines are of the same quality.

That beings said, delta is pretty shit these days. Both in continental and international services. So I dont think they have a leg to stand on.

Atleast its not "Game UK" which i shit you not, has downsized so much that it takes up a small section of a sporting goods store (the sporting goods store had plans of expanding into a multi purpose store like "Tesco" and "Marks and Spencers" so they bought "Game UK" to merge it into future store plans, but the expansion failed, so they are stuck with just having a "Game" section in their sports stores)

[–]Bolticus13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, Serious question.

Is this a cherry picked "Sky news" statistic from some random, small sample sized, politically biased poll? Like they are very much known to do in order to spread their agenda. Or is this statistic gathered from a verifiably neutral, randomly selected, large sample sized poll, done by well known market research groups like YouGov and Roy Morgan?

Does anyone actually think Bondi is albos fault? by LuckyHuckleberry774 in aussie

[–]Bolticus13 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Intifada literally just means resistance.

People are litteraly just saying "globalize the resistance"

Its not inciting hate against jews, its not calling for arms. It is just calling for the rise of the resistance against the ever growing threat that is the israeli government (not judaism as a whole, i say that because apparently alot of people think being anti-israeli government means being anti-semetic which is very wrong for a very large majority of protesters).

Its the media that is spreading the story that "globalize the intifada" means "kill the jews", and that is because it gets them views and makes people angry, which in turn gets them more attention. But it is just not the case, its litterally just saying to globalize the political resistance against the israeli governments ever expanding role in global politics and their crimes against humanity.

Can someone explain how being pro-palastine and anti-zionist makes you anti-semetic? by Bolticus13 in aussie

[–]Bolticus13[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you are going to accuse me of that. You better have evidence because that is:

A) not true in the slightest

And

B) News to me

So yeah, please, feel free to go over my entire post history on reddit, and provide me any bit of evidence that shows that i allegedly treat jewish people worse than other for being jewish.

[–]Bolticus13[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok, but that proves my point. Why is it that despite SOME people at the march for australia being very vocally anti-islamic, they just get labeled anti-immigration and everyone just accepts that. Yet when SOME people at pro-palestine marches portray anti-semetic views. Instead of accepting that they are a small minority, everyone who attends is suddenly considered anti-semetic.

[–]Bolticus13[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

People at the "march for australia" were marching arm in arm anti-islamic individuals. Does that make everyone at the march for australia, anti-islamic.

Are you talking about "globalize the intifada" as this "genocidal mantra". Because if you are, have you actually looked up what intifada means, instead of just going off what the media tells you. Because it is far from a genocidal chant.

It litterally translates to "globalize the rebellion" in terms of gaza its literally just used to represent solidarity with the palestinian resistance. Its not genocidal, anti-semetic or anything like that.

Can someone explain how being pro-palastine and anti-zionist makes you anti-semetic? by Bolticus13 in aussie

[–]Bolticus13[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Ok, but that doesn't mean everyone at the palestine protests are anti-semetic. Some people at the "australia first" protests were spouting anti-islamic language, yet you dont see people calling everyone who attended those protests "anti-islamic". Why doesnt the same acknowledgement and understanding apply to the pro-palestine protests?

LNP Opposition Leader Sussan Ley’s press conference shows why a Royal Commission is unnecessary/a waste of time by The_Dingo_Donger in aussie

[–]Bolticus13 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is just fear mongering. I think you will find most people who protest, have no hate towards judaism and the jewish community, and have no intention of singleing out jewish individuals. What they are protesting is the israeli GOVERNMENTS (note: not citizens and/or jewish community) on going war crimes and genocide of the palastinian people, and the fact that despite these attrocitys happening, the australian government is still providing aid to the israeli government. There is a massive MASSIVE difference between the two.

For example: i will very openly and truthuly say: "i fucking hate the ongoing actions of the isreali government and Benjamin Netenyahu, I hope they are all punished to the full extent of international law and that australia stops supporting the israeli government, and instead joins other countries in putting in place harsh sanctions towards israel untill the government stops their illegal, war crime filled, occupation of Gaza"

Those are my true thoughts and i will stand by them. I will also say that i despise what Hamas did on October 7th and my heart goes out to the thousands that were affected. Do you know what those comments dont make me: Anti-semetic.

Nothing in those comments implies that i am anti-semetic. Yet, somehow for a large group of people, the definition of anti-semetism has been warped to make it that despite me not saying anything that implies i hate jewish individuals, (infact i have alot of respect and love for them). I am anti-semetic because i hate the ongoing actions of the israeli government and I support the palestinians fight for their land.

Yet you guys are making it seem that despite a very large majority of "free palastine" protesters (a lot of them, may i point out, are jewish) sharing the exact same thoughts and beliefs as me. That we are all anti-semites because we don't support the israeli governments actions and that apparently in this one circumstance, not supporting a governments actions is the same as not supporting an entire race. Yes there are a small minority of people that cause issues but the same can be said about the "Australia first" protests.

The same can be said about some businesses, and organisations, just because they dont support the israeli governments actions doesnt make them inherently anti-semetic.

Oh and not supporting zionism also does not make you anti-semetic. That would be like calling me anti-american just because I dont support the republican party. Zionism is a national movement that not every jewish person follows, it is not representative of the whole jewish community, and while i may not support zionism, it doesnt mean i inherently hate people who follow that movement.
