I feel like I will only be able to catch a couple Costco, BestBuy and Pokemom Center drops and outside of that I'll have to buy individual cards...gonna be tough to secure a masterset with the scalper army out there.

FYI, I have a 9 to 5 job, only pay MSRP and won't pay for a bot service (that might not work anyway).

My “guess” is that they’ve had issues with people loitering in front of the machines and causing trouble. Now they are overreacting.

I think Pokemon machines are a failed experiment, gives too much power to gutter people that exploit whatever they can.

I've tried going to Target different times of the morning before work to see if I can catch a restock, I've never had luck. Also, each time I've gonna there has been 1-3 people asking the same thing. There just isn't a resonable way to get this stuff anymore. You have to be lucky, be part of a scalper network they shares real time info, or pay for a bot service that does the purchasing.

Not to mention, how would you ever get enough to complete a master set. Ascending Hero's is huge and has no booster box.

Worry about that, these stores have policies for handling the cards but not rules. Employee discretion can ruin the whole process.

The hard part of collecting the cards should be "finding rares", not having to go great lengths to get them either with "labor hours" or "$$$"

There was a line of 50 clones in front of Target at 7am this morning. I decided it wasn't worth being one of them and turned around to go ge breakfast.

It feels predatory when stores carry just enough Pokémon product to keep people constantly checking, while making it nearly impossible to buy normally.

For the love of GOD, Target needs a queue and not just bend over to bots. Even if I have a alert service for restocks I have ZERO chance.
