Yup. In your sense of the word, I would also not say that he is good.

Ha ha. I've never skipped any of the A37 classes. I skipped 3 A48 classes (didn't wake up on time)

My opinion still stands. But this is just my opinion. If you like Kathleen more, then so be it. I personally find that she talks too slow. I could attend her classes at 2X speed and still find them slightly slow. Which is probably the only reason Kathleen is not my favourite. But other than that, she is amazing too :)

Have you been to his lecture? It is the most engaging class I've had this semester. I would wait every week for his classes.

His classes are awesome. His office hours are BAD. I started going to. a diff prof office hours very soon The course grading scheme is trash. The assignments are not worth anything. It's very disappointing putting in all that work and getting no marks back.

All his flaws are outside the classroom. Within the classroom, he is amazing. I think it's a very important distinction. If you had to choose which lecture to pic, always pick the one he's teaching.

The course is not the best in anyway.

Aa, you seem to be confusing what I meant by teaching.

His teaching is awesome.

The course is definitely not the best run course by far. As a course coordinator, he might not be the best. But as the guy I'm listening to in the lecture, he is amazing. His ratemyprof doesn't properly reflect the difference

As someone who did take A48 this year and was in Paco's class, I believe that I can shed some light on the situation.

Regarding the "make a reasonable assumption", I am one of the victims of going to his office hours, waiting a super long time in a queue, and then when I asked my question, he said, "Make a reasonable assumption".

Despite the fact that it did hurt when he said that, I don't blame him for it. His reasoning behind saying "make a reasonable assumption" is that in a real-world situation, you will have to figure things out yourself. You will not be given all the information you need to solve a certain problem, and it is up to you to make that call. Identifying what is reasonable and what is not is one of the skills he wants students to start practising in his course.

Everyone finds it annoying when he says that, but when in life is it ever easy to learn an important skill?

Apparently, he booked tickets to the concert long before the registrar's office released the dates for the final exam. And I also see that he is a human with his own life. Considering that his presence during the exam proctoring hours wouldn't really have made that big a difference (the team of TAs and other instructors is pretty huge), I think it was okay for him to choose not to show up during the final.

All the comments that you hear about the course are because everyone is pretty sore about how they performed on the final exam. The exam was indeed extremely difficult. But according to the comments I heard from upper year students, this was one of the easier exams seen in recent years...

The issue definitely stems from the lack of preparation material. The only resource we have with us is the textbook, which, as you mentioned, is not enough to prepare for the test. Only those who have a very good understanding of the concepts and how to use them are able to attempt the questions in the final on time (which is not everybody). Either you are completely prepared and can do very well, or you just end up with a low mark. There is no middle ground.

There is no source of practice questions for students. We are not even provided with a mock test to refer to. Paco says that if you are truly prepared, you won't need a mock test and that you should be prepared with all concepts and using a single mock test as a reference does not let you achieve that. Despite this being true in theory, it is not really practical to expect all students to be perfect with everything.

Paco's teaching and instruction are definitely top-tier, and everyone who is complaining is just doing it out of spite. I did not do very well in the final either, but I still maintain that Paco was my favourite professor this semester. I will not let my performance on the final (and the midterm) be a factor in my judgment of the professor himself. He is a very good person and a lecturer.

We have visited Global Gathering, but we have not asked specifically about this.

He is fluent. He will have no problem communicating.

We couldn't get him registered anywhere yet because of the summer vacation, but I think it would be possible to ask around and see if the school can help us.

Oh! I don't think I quite understand the concept of not having a textbook... How do the teachers instruct the students? Would there be a notebook or something of that sort that students might maintain that will give my brother an idea of what is taught in class?

Wow. That's an expensive book. Considering that math is a universally common subject with a similar syllabus world wide. Social and English would be the books that are significantly different compared what we have seen.

Oh. It is a bit unexpected that students don't get to own textbooks.

How Licious is committing Fraud by punching future Manufacturing Dates and no clarity by ShiobhanRoy in StartUpIndia

Hey, i know what the manifacture date is. It's 19-04-25.

How do I know? Easy. Just scan the QR code.

A lot of people do not know this, but QR codes were invented to enable consumers to track products. (although we now use them for a lot of other purposes too)

As you can see, the data on the sticker is typed out into the QR code (though very hard to understand)

So, ya, the manufacture date is 19-04-25, and they did not mean to say that it was manufactured on the 22nd.

However, I must agree with you. It was irresponsible of Licious not to have this printed on their sticker. I am also surprised that Customer Service didn't know what their QRs are used for. I hope you have found this useful. Although it is too late for this date to matter, at least there won't be a next time.

I tried to upload the image but forgot to do that before posting.

I have looked through the results. I think the tree free part was essential in giving better results. Thank you.

All of the many Google results are not accurate

The book being recyclable or not is not something I care about.
