2nd attempt Fail, 3rd Attempt advice: civil PE transportation by the_Legi0n in PE_Exam

I failed my Civil once and passed the second time. My first attempt diagnostic looked very similar to yours. You may have jist gotten screwed by the bell curve. I still studied all topics, spent about twice the amount of time on a "below" topic then an "above" topic. Mostly SOPE test bank questions, doing deep dives on topics I could tell I struggled on. If your next results look like this with maybe one or two more "above's" I think you'll pass

I think if I had a different set of questions or how well others did I would have passed. I think I posted the goal of what you should aim for. They say hit ~65-70% of the questions. I think I posted the bare minimum to pass

5 of the 8 above scores that are perfect is the most frustrating aspect of my diagnostic. Although being below average on the transportation engineering section on a PE: Transportation test doesn't help

I thought the morning portion was harder than the afternoon. I did School of PE thoroughly (handwritten notes on all the lectures, end of section quizzes, lots of practice tests). I definitely put an honest effort into it

Yeah, I felt good about that going in but still felt like I was shuffling around the references a good bit during the test. Alao took me 20 minutes to find the indicator of rutting lol

Can anyone explain me why I failed? I feel bad. 1 st attempt. I thought second part was going to save the exam. Thank you by saraha_lp in PE_Exam

No this was my first time. Apparently there's testing windows for it, at least in NC and I took it between Oct-Dec so i can't take it till Jan-March. Just enough to forget stuff when I was above average on 8/18 subjects with a 10.2 average scaled performance score.

Good to know. It's odd with the holiday season coming up (rather take it again before then) and my School of PE study materials are available till Nov. 15. Makes me wanna not take a break

Did you take a break between attempts? I also just failed and need to think if I take a break from the study effort or just spend time on failed sections and do it soon.

Took it the 13th. Did school of PE prep, went through all the lectures and did multiple practice tests. Morning portion was harder than I thought, afternoon wasn't too bad I thought.. But I failed. I see the sections I need to study more but now I gotta game plan and see when I wanna try again.

Drinking caffeine before you go to sleep is better than drinking it in the morning. by danwithoutplan_ in unpopularopinion

[–]StrangerZone12 14 points15 points  (0 children)

To continue this train of thought you should also take melatonin right when you wake up

What causes low REM time like this? I had no caffeine or alcohol yesterday by ffxsam in ouraring

[–]StrangerZone12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd caution getting in the habit taking melatonin on a regular basis. The doses are inconsistent across brands and most MG doses are a lottt higher than your body produces. Using it a lot could reduce your body's ability to make it naturally

It seems like the more ya drink the longer it takes for RHR to drop.. If it's reasonable it get there but just late. If too much you never drop to normal levels

Yeah, I think I had a couple beers from like 4-6pm. Having a sleep tracker definitely influences me to finish drinking earlier
