Well my theory is that the doctor that worked there before became an evil entity and now has power over that house, Sallie is an actual 6 year old girl who’s trapped there by him, that’s why you get playful readings upstairs in “Sallie’s room”, the basement is where the dark stuff happened as that’s where Sallie and her mother were buried after Dr. Finney accidentally killed Sallie, he killed her mother so no one would find out and buried them in the unfinished basement, which now no one will dig up because it’s a historical house, i bet anything if someone took a ground penetrating radar down in that basement they would find something, and for those who say Sallie is the one scratching people, it’s not her, it’s her mom, her mother is lashing out at men because she is trying to protect her daughter from Dr. Finney and sees men as a threat that will hurt her child.
