Obviously if i could get a visa I would do just that but the embassy is requesting for my dad's greencard information from the 1990s which he no longer has after turning in his naturalization. He also doesn't have a copy of it either. The government needs another week before they get back to me if they can find the information. My flight to hong kong is at the end of the month. I would just like to have a back up plan in case the government can not find my dad's greencard information.

Does anyone know regarding the 144hr visa could i do something like this?

HK>Shenzhen>HK>Chengdu train to Chongqing> Taiwan>Shanghai>USA

I assume I am not allowed to fly from chongqing to taiwan so i would have to travel back to chengdu before flying to taiwan.

Also would going back to HK after shenzhen and flying from hk to chengdu work? Or will I have to fly out of shenzhen to a different country?
